In part 7 of the Spiritual Gifts series, Brian looks at four “boosting gifts” of the Holy Spirit: giving, wisdom, tongues, and faith. He shows how each strengthens believers, supports the church, and advances God’s mission through supernatural effectiveness.

In part 6 of our spiritual gifts series, Brian teaches on healing and miracles. He encourages us to step out in faith, pray with compassion and expectation in Jesus’ name, and develop any gifts of healing or miracles they may have rather than dismissing them because healing does not happen every time.

In this message Crooksy outlines the gifts of leadership, Pastoring and Administration and helps us draw lessons from the life of Moses to help identify which leadership gifts may be present in our lives.

In part 4 of our Spiritual Gifts series, Brian focuses on four “serving gifts”: hospitality, mercy, helps, and service. He encourages us to identify and intentionally use our gifts while also practising all forms of service, trusting that God can work through both gifted and ordinary acts of love and support.

In part 3 of our Spiritual Gifts series, Ruth Weller shares that every Christian can hear God’s voice, and that spiritual gifts such as wisdom, knowledge, prophecy, and discernment help people do so more clearly. She encourages us to develop our gifts within a supportive community, work together as the body of Christ, and use those gifts to support God’s work in their churches, relationships, and wider society.

Part 2 of our series on SPIRITUAL GIFTS. In this message, Re:Hope Southside’s Lead Pastor, Crooksy, helps us explore communication gifts, outlines way that we can spot them in our lives including paying attention to our learning and spotting potential fruit from these gifts.

To kick off our new series about spiritual gifts, Brian shares that every Christian is given unique spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit, and discovering those gifts is one of the clearest ways to understand God’s purpose for their life and contribute effectively to the Church as part of a diverse team.

In our final sermon in James, Brian encourages us to lovingly reach out to fellow believers who are drifting away from God, just as Jesus seeks and restores those who wander.

In part 14 of our James series, Brian teaches on the power of prayer. He emphasises praying in hardship and happiness, seeking prayer and healing from church elders when sick, confessing sin and pursuing reconciliation, and praying passionately and persistently like Elijah, trusting that “the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

In part 13 of our James series, guest speaker, Shaun Wilcock, teaches us that suffering is a painful but universal part of life that can challenge our faith, but James calls us to respond with patience, endurance, and trust in God’s promises rather than losing heart or turning on others. We look at examples like Job, and focus on the hope of future restoration, and are encouraged to remain faithful, believing that God is present and working even in the midst of suffering.
