• Why are you doing what you're doing?
• Who do you want to serve?
• Why do you want to serve?
• What do you want to serve?

A business brand is a visual display of who and what your business is. it is a visual representation of your mission statement. Your brand should portray who you are and the energy you want your business to embody.

To start with branding, you have to know why you do what you do. You have to have the power and conviction behind your service, but you also need to know your why. When you know your why, then you know your purpose.

Knowing your purpose directly relates to your identity, and your identity relates to your behavior, your environment, and every other aspect of your life. Getting clear on your purpose allows you to create shifts in every aspect of life as you align with your higher calling.

Once you know your why, you need to find your who. Often, we feel called to serve everyone, and change the lives of everyone we meet. But as small business owners, we need to know our niche- the small genre of people our business specifically serves. You need to know exactly who you are talking to so you can create business success.

Knowing your who and knowing your why helps inform the language you will use for your social media, your website, and your sales copy. You can't use the same language for every audience- you have to be able to speak clearly to the hearts of your audience to build that trust and rapport.

When you speak to your audience directly, you call out to the problems they are experiencing- problems that you can help heal. The more specific you can get with your message and your brand, the more you will draw in your dream clients.

Finding the clarity of the how and the who can help to lead you to your values as a brand. What do you stand for? What motivates and inspires you? What does your business stand for? Pulling together the clarity of the why, the who, and your values will set your business up for success.
