    • 93. Bust Your Belief: You’re Behind In Your Love Life.

How many times have you scrolled past a friends recent engagement announcement on Instagram and immediately felt sadness instead of excitement and joy?

How many times have you dreaded the upcoming family get-together knowing Aunt Carol is going to ask you about your relationship status?

Or even how many times have you gone to a baby shower to only be asked when are you and your partner going to have kids?

If you're like me, you've lost count.

And each time it happens it's your "friendly reminder" that you're behind in your love life.

In this episode, I discuss the feeling of being behind in life, particularly in the context of love and relationships. I explore the negative thoughts and actions that arise from this feeling and emphasizes the importance of taking control of it.

Grab your journal so you can challenge the beliefs that contribute to feeling behind. I will encourage you to create new beliefs that align with your present Self. I also suggest expanding one's current version to attract more happiness and joy.

      Takeaways

      • Feeling behind in life, especially in love and relationships, can lead to stress, anxiety, and negative thoughts and actions.

      • Taking control of the feeling involves recognizing that it is not external factors, but one's own beliefs and attachments that contribute to it.

      • Challenging beliefs that perpetuate the feeling of being behind is crucial for personal growth and happiness.

      • Creating new beliefs that align with one's present self and expanding the current version of oneself can lead to increased happiness and attract new opportunities.

      • Work with me one-on-one to release the feeling of being behind and embrace being right on time. Apply for 1:1 coaching.

      • 92. Caring for Yourself in Your Love Life Season

In this week's episode, I went rogue - the episode was published late and for the first time ever, I recorded from the bathtub.

Recently my plate has been beyond full and my cup was empty. The experience reminded me of how I used to date as well as how some of my clients approach their love life.

I'm getting back to the basics about caring for yourself no matter what love life season you're in... and it's not a bubble bath.

        Takeaways

        • Caring for oneself is crucial to one's love life and overall well-being.

        • Signs of not caring for oneself include how conditioned your nervous system and body are to stress.

        • Setting clear boundaries is important for maintaining self-care and attracting healthier relationships.

        • 91. Couch Conversations: Choosing What's Important in Life Pt 1

Today Brad joins me on the couch for his first appearance this season on the podcast.

We discuss the book The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck' by Mark Manson. It is the same book I saw on Brad’s dating profile after he had messaged me in 2019.

We explore the themes of choosing what is important in life, the impact of pain and loss, measuring success and failure, taking responsibility for one's choices, and reacting vs responding to emotions.

Of course, we share personal experiences and insights on how these concepts have influenced our self-development and relationships. The conversation explores the idea of choosing your struggles and being willing to put in the necessary work to achieve your desired outcomes. Lastly, we discuss taking responsibility for your dating experience and doing the inner work to create the type of relationship you envision.

          Takeaways (Part 1)

          • Focus on what truly matters in life and choose your priorities wisely.

          • Embrace pain and loss as opportunities for growth and learning.

          • Measure success and failure based on your own values and not by comparing yourself to others.

          • Learn to respond rather than react to emotions, allowing for more thoughtful and intentional actions.

          • When choosing a partner, consider their ability to have healthy discussions and their mindset towards personal growth.

          • Instead of hoping for a life without problems, embrace the idea of pursuing a life full of good problems and choosing your struggles.

          • Take responsibility for your dating experience and be willing to do the inner work necessary to create the type of relationship you desire.
