To celebrate the finale of House of the Dragon, we called in some reinforcements to recreate the *dragons flying overhead* vibes (aka the Air and Water show is happening in Chicago and there are really loud jets all over the city) - apologies if the sound of this episode is triggering, over stimulating or just too annoying to listen to while we gossip about how long it took Daemon to bend his damn knee...
This season was....something. The finale was also something.
Regardless - we have two more seasons to look forward to of fierce dragon realness.
Max continues to be the most profitable streaming app, as they dropped their 2025 preview of upcoming shows, which gave us a 10 second, "The Last of Us," season 2 teaser which promptly made us emotional.
We're not ready. Are you?
This past week the highly anticipated blockbuster movie of the summer, extremely sexual, perfectly thrilling and captivating, hilariously written, Deadpool and Wolverine, premiered in theaters.
Of course we saw it opening night, after making the greater part of Chicago drinks (service industry workers say hey!)
Despite watching our favorite degenerate anti heros grace the screen in their extra tight spandex-clad suits, in the wee early hours of the morning past our bedtimes, we truthfully could not blink. What a perfect union of two misfits that are perfect for one another.
We have a full breakdown and reaction, as well as some SDCC news! While we were distracted about Pedro Pascal being in full blown Reed Richards mode (and we ain't mad about it), the rest of the world was losing their minds over a certain someone returning to the MCU....
You already know who it is. RDJ is back and ready to collect that MARVEL MONEY.
One of our favorite shows is finally back and we're ready to drop everything we've cared about up until this point (cough The Acolyte cough), to discuss how much we love watching dragons fly on our televisions every week, as well as the occasional cunning sibling murder. Too soon, too soon.
This is a heavy spoiler episode that dives into House of the Dragon, so if you haven't watched the show or Episode 1 yet, please be aware that we do not hold back.
This is also the perfect opportunity to catch up on the show thus far before episode 2 premieres tonight!
We threw in some fun nerd news in the beginning as well. The usual rants, comments, and weekly shenanigans - you know the drill.
We have a BRAND new Star Wars show that premiered this past week and we are so excited to experience a new time period, in our favorite galaxy, that hasn't been explored before : The High Republic.
The High Republic was a time when the Jedi were at their very best, thriving you could even say. No Sith were around, everyone was singing "Kumbaya," and there were even yellow sabers! There were cross breeds of aliens and humans everywhere you looked, different jedi fashion, and even sabers that whipped it real good (yes there were lightsaber whips, thank you Vernestra Rwoh)
We break down episodes 1 +2, right after we deliver a lot of nerd news. A new Hunger Games prequel, Sabrina Carpenter dropping the hottest soundtrack of Eternals Part II, and more Deadpool news!
It's been a week since we concluded X-Men 97 and our lives will never be the same.
That is all.
Disney Plus has become a beacon of light and especially darkness in recent weeks, as we have been tuning into the revival series of X-Men 97 and The Bad Batch, which have us feeling some type of way (extreme sadness).
The content material for both of these shows is HEAVY. Just because both of these series are animated, does not mean they hold back on the storylines. Characters through both of these series are constantly judged, hated against, and targeted for no reason, other than them wanting to do good. From the empire trafficking children for M-counts and cloning, to the mutants of X-Men being treated as outcasts and put through genocide because of their genetic makeup, Disney Plus has become a dark place the past few weeks.
....however, we see the light at the end of the tunnel, or Genosha. We'll cheer you up with some fun nerd news, talk about some Dune fans at Coachella because why not and insert some fun life tangents in between.
We're baaaaaaaaaack with the FIRST episode of 2024!
We took a little break during the holidays to spend time with our family and friends, and take a much needed mental break, to ensure we'd be back and ready for all of what 2024 is to bring!
The burn out was real, as 2023 was an incredible year for us and we are FOREVER grateful for everyone's support and helping grow our channel by 20k!
This inaugural episode of 2024 features a few nerd news rumors (What if Star Wars? could be happening) and an episode by episode breakdown of Marvel's What If? Season 2!
This week, we take a break from recapping our favorite shows (still taking time to grieve the end of Loki) and have a full fledged, nerd news episode.
Word on the town is, Pedro Pascal is the new Reed Richards. Were we excited by this news or terrified? Or....both.
Are you familiar with the term 'ugly hot?' Here's a hint: Adam Driver
Have a happy holiday if you're celebrating this week! We'll see you in December for Invincible recaps!
