RELATIONSHIP GOALS—1
CHRIST CENTERED
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” … 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man. 23 “At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’because she was taken from ‘man.’” 24 This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.Genesis 2:18, 21-24 NLT

(Matthew 3:2 NKJV) “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” God Time (Romans 13:11-14 MSG) But make sure that you don't get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God. The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed. We can't afford to waste a minute, must not squander these precious daylight hours in frivolity and indulgence, in sleeping around and dissipation, in bickering and grabbing everything in sight. Get out of bed and get dressed! Don't loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute. Dress yourselves in Christ, and be up and about! . It’s time to take control of my schedule. (Ecclesiastes 4:6) Better one handful with tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind. (Jeremiah 6:16) This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” . It’s time to rethink what I allow to enter my mind and body. (1 Corinthians 10:23) “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. (Psalm 141:4 NLT) Don’t let me drift toward evil or take part in acts of wickedness. Don’t let me share in the delicacies of those who do wrong. . It’s time to organize my finances around Give, Save, Live. (Matthew 6:21) For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Proverbs 3:9 MSG) Honor GOD with everything you own; give him the first and the best. . It’s time to live my life intentionally. (Proverbs 20:4) Sluggards do not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing. (Psalm 90:12 LB) Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should. The Key to it All 1. I must know my purpose. (Psalm 139:16) All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Jeremiah 29:11) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” 2. I must have a plan. (Proverbs 17:24 GN) An intelligent person aims at wise action, but a fool starts off in many directions. 3. I must have accountability. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NLT) Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
Faith is taking a step even when you don’t see the whole staircase. ~Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

(Matthew 3:2 NKJV) “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”
Joy comes…
(Nehemiah 8:10) “Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” .
Knowing God has a plan for my life.
(Psalm 16:5-11) LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. .
Certain that God will work it out.
(1 Peter 1:8) Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, .
When I choose joy.
(Philippians 4:4) Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
It’s Time to Choose Joy
(Deuteronomy 30:11-19 (MSG) This commandment that I'm commanding you today isn't too much for you, it's not out of your reach. It's not on a high mountain—you don't have to get mountaineers to climb the peak and bring it down to your level and explain it before you can live it. And it's not across the ocean—you don't have to send sailors out to get it, bring it back, and then explain it before you can live it. No. The word is right here and now—as near as the tongue in your mouth, as near as the heart in your chest. Just do it! Look at what I've done for you today: I've placed in front of you Life and Good, Death and Evil. And I command you today: Love GOD, your God. Walk in his ways. Keep his commandments, regulations, and rules so that you will live, really live, live exuberantly, blessed by GOD, your God, in the land you are about to enter and possess. But I warn you: If you have a change of heart, refuse to listen obediently, and willfully go off to serve and worship other gods, you will most certainly die. You won't last long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live.
1. Choose to look beyond what happened.
(Philippians 1:12) Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.
2. Choose to find the new opportunities.
(Philippians 1:13-14) As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.
3. Choose to focus on what really matters.
(Philippians 1:15-18) It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice.
Today I choose joy.

It's Time | One
(Luke 9:57-62 MSG) On the road someone asked if he could go along. “I’ll go with you, wherever,” he said. Jesus was curt: “Are you ready to rough it? We’re not staying in the best inns, you know.” Jesus said to another, “Follow me.” He said, “Certainly, but first excuse me for a couple of days, please. I have to make arrangements for my father’s funeral.” Jesus refused. “First things first. Your business is life, not death. And life is urgent: Announce God’s kingdom!” Then another said, “I’m ready to follow you, Master, but first excuse me while I get things straightened out at home.” Jesus said, “No procrastination. No backward looks. You can’t put God’s kingdom off till tomorrow. Seize the day.”
- Move on from old history.
(Isaiah 43:18-19) “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
- Move on from old habits.
(Isaiah 58:6) “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?”
Move on from old hurts.
(2 Corinthians 5:17-18) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ…
I can’t start the next chapter of my life if I keep re-reading the last one.
Time to Make a Change
(Matthew 4:17) From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
1. It’s time to get closer to God.
(James 4:8 NLT) Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
2. It’s time to get honest with a friend.
(James 5:16 NLT) Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
3. It’s time to get in tune with my purpose and passions.
(Galatians 6:3-4) If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else.
4. It’s time to get on doing something greater than myself.
(Ephesians 2:10 MSG) (God) creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.
I can’t go back and change the beginning but I can start where I am and change the ending.

21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
(Matthew 9:14-15) Then John’s disciples came and asked him, “How is it that we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?” Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.”
(Acts 13:2-3) While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
(2 Corinthians 11:27 NKJV) …in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often.

Declaration of Dependence
(Joel 1:14) Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.
1. Declaring revival for our nation.
(1 Samuel 7:3-6) So Samuel said to all the Israelites, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the LORD and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.” …On that day they fasted and there they confessed, “We have sinned against the LORD.”
2. Declaring freedom from bondage.
(Matthew 17:19-21) Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn't we drive it out?” He replied, “But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
(1 Kings 19:8-9) So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. There he went into a cave and spent the night. And the word of the LORD came to him…
3. Declaring blessing over trouble.
(Ezra 8:21) I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.
4. Declaring wisdom for my future.
(Acts 9:3-6, 9) As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.
5. Declaring victory over my enemy.
(Daniel 10:1-3) In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a great war. The understanding of the message came to him in a vision. At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.

I’M IN
I’M INVALUABLE
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12 NLT
Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. 15If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body. 16And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? 17If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything? 1 Corinthians 12:14-17 NLT
In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary. ... 27All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:22, 27 NLT
Sometimes what you do is not as visible.
Just because it’s not visible doesn’t mean it’s not important!
