She had it backwards! In this episode, I break down the difference between being "trauma aware" vs "trauma informed" for anyone who is a care provider working individually or within an organization or system. People who haven't been overwhelmed by the impacts of trauma also value these types of care as well. You'll learn why being trauma informed is a necessity whereas being "trauma specific" is not. In addition, I walk you through how to start moving towards being direct and informative with people impacted by trauma instead of haphazardly tiptoeing around them.

"Receiving means to accept and we have to do that with our whole body."
Tamsin shares about being allergic to strategy, the joys of sinking into embodiment and nervous system regulation, and seeing such beautiful results in her coaching business from this place. We talk about "unusual" business strategy and how much ease and pleasure can come from choosing how we want to be in relationship to our businesses from a settled and connected place. We share the piece that unlocked Tamsin's ability to receive her first 10k month, which felt so surprising to her.

Slowing down into the magic of the nervous system regulation work - we explore the concept of regulation and co-regulation from the felt sense. With the power of the therapeutic relationship, we have an incredible tool we can use to help others feel safe enough to be with their felt sense so they can regulate and feel balanced and connected. Marina shares that the wholeness of who we are is what allows us to be connected with people and with this planet we co-exist with. When we can sink into embodiment, we can be more responsive to what is needed inside and out from a caring place.

In this second episode, I dive right in to unpack and define "Trauma". I also answer the commonly asked question: “does it ever go away?” I share a bit more of my own personal story and what I've learned through the experience of sitting with clients over the years (and through the many trauma trainings taken). In addition, I give a really impactful definition around how trauma equals broken connections - connection to spirit, to self, to others, etc. This podcast reveals the gift of healing through creating a new relationship to trauma. There is so much to know about trauma, and over the many episodes of this podcast, its definition, how to notice it, and work with it will become more and more clear.
