Sadly many people get into relationships built on sex and later find they don't have anything solid. Being friends first gives relationships the opportunity to develop strong bonds. It's important to be friends first and it's a sign of maturity.

It happens often. When relationships start wrong they end wrong. Ending doesn't mean separation. Many couples are together, but are not in love. Sadly, some individuals who in relationships together don't even like each other. It's completely unhealthy.
