 I speak about how I put off sober sex for so long and then when I eventually did get around to it how healing it actually was for my soul to go through the process!! 

 I offer some insights into a lot of reasons why some of us are so nervous when it comes to this and how we can overcome these blocks.

I give you some tips and tricks plus I call out one of the most common triggers that stops so many of us enjoying sober sex – body image. I give my own insights into how being sober has really helped me gradually build a stronger & healthier relationship with my body.

How my drinking felt like it was helping me but in actual fact was the catalyst for my anxieties.

I provide some of my own encounters around social anxiety – before sobriety  and in recovery. 

 I nut out how I used to wear my addictions as a badge of honour and would be the only way I felt I could connect with others and how my trauma dumping was causing me more harm than good and the difference in how I live with it today!

In this episode I speak about the very subject every addict and recovering alcoholic needs to address and how far away it seems…at first…worthiness and feeling enough!!

I mention reasons for why we may have a lack of worthiness and the 3 responses we have to worthiness which are: self denial, deviance and self reliance - there may be one or two I'm sure you'll resonate with!!

This week is all about emotional sobriety and safety in the body – two foundational parts that are required in order to be in conscious relationship with self and others whilst navigating sobriety. 

In this episode you'll receive a quick practice on how you can start to come out of the numbness and find safety within your body.

I divulge a story about my own emotional sobriety and how my teenage self made an appearance 24 years later in my romantic relationship….cringe!

I reflect back on how others’ expectations leant heavily into the perception of myself and the duality of emotions and how these can affect relationship. 
I talk about how vital it is to allow yourself permission to express yourself after all this time.
