  • Relatively Speaking Podcast: Matt Ryan is pretty good
The Relatively Speaking Podcast is back to keep you warm in these winter months. Also, to give you the best entertainment this side of getting slapped in the face with a fun-stick.
Yes. It is a real thing.
The Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots have advanced to the Super Bowl. That means they will play each other. Jared and Joseph discuss the rather obvious awesome that will come from this game. You know, that all the points should be scored because neither team is all that great on defense. They are, however, pretty swell on the offensive side of the ball.
Bad Tweets this week is mostly about horrible takes concerning made up narratives. Someone was angry about something to do with Julio Jones... over a thing that never happened.
Politics in sports is not ideal to many human beings. The Relatively Speaking Podcast gets that, but does like that certain NBA coaches have begun speaking their mind in regard to certain topics. Like it or hate it, people having a voice is part of this entire dilly.
Poor Boogie Cousins. Always getting picked on by NBA refs. We yell and complain and have fun about his non-foul over the weekend after an aging superstar fell over.
Absurd Questions gets downright nasty this week. Put the children to sleep, as they will most certainly get nightmares if they listen to Jared's disturbing questions. Honestly, it gets so disgusting that Joseph questions whether or not he should be friends with him anymore.
PSA: Make sure to feed your kitty cats, dogs and lobsters.

  • Relatively Speaking Podcast: The MLB Hall of Fame is whack
It is Friday. Not only does that mean you are mere hours away from making poor life choices, but the Relatively Speaking Podcast is here to help you make them!
This week's edition of the podcast is all the flame emojis. Not just one or two. All. Of. Them. Don't believe us? You will just have to listen to hear how wrong you are.
To start the show, Jared forces Joseph to discuss NBA All-Star starter snubs. While Joseph continuously tells him that he does not care (as long as we find out who Joel Embiid's mystery woman is), Jared discusses this entire situation in earnest and without irony.
After that, the guys talk about the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame. Mostly, that it is a joke for letting in guys with steroid scandal clouds of their heads, but won't allow the greatest baseball player to ever put his foot on a blade of grass, Barry Bonds, to get inducted. Boo, newspaper writers!
TNT is doing a player-only broadcast thing every Monday for a month. Jared thinks it is bad. So does Joseph, but once again, he appears indifferent on the matter.
Ask Me Anything is lit this week. So lit, in fact, the podcast nearly caught on fire with all the hot-takes, lava cakes and boom-shaka-laka makes -- or something. Likely something, but who cares about the semantics, as we've clearly reached the filler portion of this post-before-the-actual-podcast section of this post.
PSA: Be kind to one another... unless you really hate that other person. Then don't be kind.

  • Relatively Speaking Podcast: Tom Brady, Rodgers and NBA trades
The Relatively Speaking Podcast is back with more vengeance than Bruce Willis. Hope everyone had a good, safe and fun weekend. If you didn't, that's find and dandy too, as we are about to help you overcome the sadness that is your life.
Friday's edition of the Relatively Speaking Podcast begins with some Bad Tweets.
A Bad Tweet Hall of Fame member sent out some fire regarding the Green Bay Packers. He ended up being, per usual wrong,
Also, did you know that Tom Brady has only played with elite skill level players? Jared and Joseph didn't. The hosts discuss one of the worst tweets to ever hit the podcast.
A look back at the weekend of NFL football as well as the Divisional Championship games that are coming down the pipe. Who do the fellas believe has the best chance to go to the Super Bowl?
Finally, after too much time talking National Football League tomfoolery, the guys begin their question to send certain players to other NBA teams. Well, only kind of, as both Jared and Joseph believe most teams shouldn't make a move at this point -- especially the Boston Celtics.
Who is the better team at this time: Golden State or Cleveland?
Absurd Questions also returns this week. They are not friendly in nature. In fact, the discussion might be the closest the duo ever gets to going Cinemax After Dark.
PSA: Life is too short to make part of your identity a sports team. Grow up, have fun, and live life.

  • Relatively Speaking Podcast: Goodbye Mike and Mike, NFL Playoffs and more
It is Friday. Not only does that mean you are about to get absurdly sloshed in a matter of a few hours, but you get to consume the Relatively Speaking Podcast in all its natural glory.
This episode's show starts with some sadness. Mike and Mike, according to reports, are breaking up. It was a mutual thing. No hard feelings here.
With an eye on the future, Jared and Joseph discuss who are realistic choices to fill the void from the 6-10 slot in the mornings. Because they can't help themselves even if they wanted to, the hosts also brought up a few people they would prefer to hear while wiping crust from their eyeballs.
Derrick Rose things happened. Jared is a New York Knicks fan. So, yeah... of course we talked about that. Also, what in the heck is a Ron Baker?
NFL Playoffs were discussed -- kind of. While Jared attempted to bring up the topic in earnest, Joseph spent the majority of the time yelling over him with college basketball takes.
The Relatively Speaking Podcast Ask Me Anything returned, too.
Five really good questions this week from four different members of the human species. Very #OnBrand types of questions of the podcast as well.
You will have to listen to hear what happened, but do know that one of the questions spurned what was quite possibly one of the rare "fictional trade scenarios" that actually made sense for both teams and is somewhat realistic.
PSA: Don't text and drink baking soda.

  • Relatively Speaking Podcast: NFL Playoff reaction, Carmelo Anthony
It was a rough weekend for certain NFL fan bases, but the Relatively Speaking Podcast is here to help ease the pain. At the same time, the podcast is here to point and laugh at your favorite team's struggles. So, yeah... there is that, too.
The show begins by discussing the origins of something, but we really can't remember. After that, however, the show is an actual white hot flame emoji of an episode.
Jared and Joseph discuss the weekend's NFL Playoff games. Matt Moore died, then was reanimated like a zombie. The Oakland Raiders refused to pull their third string quarterback. Other National Football League stuff also happens to be discussed. Were there hot-takes? You bet your sweet rear.
Bad Tweets this weeks surrounds on the idea of what is fair game on Twitter, do/should people care what others think and if you're allowed to have an opinion on something if you've never reached the pinnacle of that profession.
Is the Draymond Green-Kevin Durant thing a thing? No. The hosts tell you why.
Carmelo Anthony said he never credits any of the credit for the wins, but gets all the blame for the losses. The gentlemen who host the show discuss.
Absurd Questions is a bit iffy this week. Jared wonders about intimate scenes in movies. Joseph, on the other hand, wants to know why you would get into any business if all you're going to do is be a thief.
Great stuff, honestly. Probably the best podcast ever recorded. It also has huge hands.
