In Part 2 of our discussion of My Fair Lady we reveal who we chose to recast the major and minor roles. Kyle discusses his love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with musicals, and we ponder whether the remake should also be a musical. History buff Mark considers alternate times and places for a remake, finding parallels and opportunities in Sparta, Colonial India, and in the time of the Vikings. Finally, we again contemplate Henry Higgins’ misogyny, and the troubles we had with the ending of the movie (managing to compare it to that of The Sopranos, of all things).
