Remember When With Uncle John

Released in October 2003, the Tim McGraw hit "Watch the Wind Blow By" was the fifth and final single from his album Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors, the first album to feature McGraw's band. The song reached #1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart for the week of March 20, 2004, and also peaked at #32 on the Hot 100.

Uncle John recognizes his longtime friend Freddie Richardson, known to John as "Waterbed Fred", who celebrated his 60th birthday on Friday.

Released in February 1973, the song "Satin Sheets" by Jeanne Pruett was her only No. 1 hit, as well as her only chart entry on the Billboard Hot 100 (Uncle John failed to mention that chart, by the way). Written by John Volinkaty, the song was previously recorded by Bill Anderson and Jan Howard on their duet album Bill & Jan or (Jan & Bill).

Uncle John offers a special tribute to the WWE Hall of Famer who died last week at the age of 79.

FYI: The "Superstar", as in Superstar Billy Graham, was lifted from the hit rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar. (He took his ring name from the evangelist)

Released toward the end of 1989, the Patty Loveless song "Chains" would become her second No. 1 hit. Written by Hal Bynum and Bud Reneau, the song was the fifth single from her album Honky Tonk Angel.

FYI: In its original form, the song had a much slower tempo than the one recorded by Loveless. Tony Brown, one of her producers at the time, decided to speed up the tempo for the arrangement she recorded.
