In 2002 O'Hanrahan's and Carlow footballer, Andrew Corden was only in his mid-twenties when he lost his life in a freak accident. Three months earlier he had captained Carlow to a unique O'Byrne Cup final victory while two years before that he was a member of the O'Hanrahan's team which won an historic Leinster senior football club final in Portlaoise.
Here his sisters, Fiona and Catherine, look back on a short life packed with excitement, fun, achievement and adventure.
Last year, the Corden family had the honour of presenting the Andrew Corden Cup to the Carlow under 20 footballers for the very first time when they beat Wexford in the final. This weekend, Carlow play Wicklow in the first round of the competition with Wexford and Waterford also in the same group.
