Errol explored Vann’s life and legacy with some of the people who knew him best. They discussed his time as a central figure in the racially-charged clash over local school control in the late 1960s to his efforts organizing Jesse Jackson’s 1984 presidential campaign and building up Bedford-Stuyvesant.
