He’s a Yale-educated lawyer who worked on Ron Paul’s campaign back in the early 2000’s before starting The Oath Keepers in 2009, an organization of former police officers, military veterans, and others who are willing to do their civic duty to protect American liberty. After January 6th, he became a political prisoner, and his story raises urgent questions about the state of liberty in America.

Stewart wasn’t a rioter on January 6th. In fact, he didn’t even go inside the Capitol. But when the federal government needed a high-profile scalp to fuel its January 6th narrative, they made him a target.

✅ He was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison—despite never entering the Capitol✅ He spent long stretches in solitary confinement✅ His sentence was commuted by President Trump—but he is still waiting and hoping for a full pardon✅ He is now working to rebuild his life and restore the mission of the Oath Keepers to protect this country and its founding principlesHe came on the podcast to tell his story—unfiltered, unedited, and straight from the front lines of America’s political persecution machine.

Wednesday night’s podcast was a powerful reminder that one person can make a difference—and that courage is contagious.

My guest was Shane Chesher, a regular guy turned grassroots warrior, who Karen and I met in one of our first Patriot Academy constitution classes that we hosted in the spring of 2021. He was empowered by what he learned in the class, so he started hosting classes himself, and in September 2021 when Allegheny County tried to force him to take the COVID shot or lose his job after working there for 11 years, Shane chose conviction over compliance. Three weeks before Christmas, he was fired—but that was just the beginning of his fight.

✅ Shane sued the county pro se—without a lawyer✅ He won✅ He’s now running for local school board✅ He stood on the ground at the Butler Rally on July 13th when President Trump was shot

His story is a living example of what Patriot Academy teaches: that informed, courageous citizens can turn the tide.

The Great Equalizer

Jason Say was just a local business owner in a rural town of Pennsylvania when COVID hit in 2020. After seeing his son have to miss out on most of his senior year due to unconstitutional mandates and weak school board members cowering to tyranny, he decided to get involved. In the fall of 2021, just two weeks prior to the Municipal election, Jason decided to run a write-in campaign, and against all odds, he won.
