What does it mean to share the gospel? What exactly are we doing each time we proclaim the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ?  In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we weigh in on Babylon Bee's interview with Elon Musk, the world's foremost engineer and business magnate. In it, the Bee made a controversial gospel presentation to Musk, and the reaction to his answer was even more controversial. The interaction lit up a storm of reactions from all sides. Some found it to be in line with the Bee's brand while others found it appalling and inappropriate, satire or not.  Join us in this episode as we discuss it, and we'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter as well.

This week, we continue the How Were Your Barriers Removed series in an interview with recurring guest MD. Traditionally in this series, we focus on the barriers people have regarding salvation, but there are also barriers after salvation that can keep us from seeing the cross clearly in all areas of our lives. MD was born into a Christian household to parents involved in ministry and gives testimony of having been saved very early on in life.  In this episode, he shares some of the barriers he encountered after salvation, and how the Lord proved Himself to be the Author and Finisher of his faith, just as He promises to be the same for all who will trust Him.

Back in January of 2022, Whoopi Goldberg declared on the View that the Holocaust was not about race, but instead a case of white-on-white brutality showcasing the evil that man is capable of toward his fellow man. She received significant criticism for it, with sentiments ranging from horrified indignation to merciful understanding of what she was actually trying to say. Today we continue the series exploring how the Lord Jesus Christ removes barriers in sinners' lives to bring about salvation. In this latest installment, we sit down with Lila Lebaron to hear about how her barriers were removed. Lila, a young lady Christ saved out of Mormonism, grew up in a polygamist community in Chihuahua, Mexico. Though her surroundings presented a set of barriers to salvation, it was the unseen barriers within her that threatened to gobble her up whole. But Christ overcame them to save her soul: the fear, the doubt, the guilt, the hopelessness. Consider these startling findings by Ligonier Ministries' biannual State of Theology survey of professing Christians: 54% agree that religious belief is a matter of personal opinion; it is not about objective truth. 65% agree that everyone sins a little, but most people are good by nature. Only 25% agree that even the smallest sin deserves eternal damnation. These findings may provide some insight into why a majority of professing Christians not only see soul-winning as optional, but also feel it is inappropriate to actively evangelize the world around us. In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we sit down with Edward Thal and talk about soul-winning: what is it, and why should we care? Edward Thal has been actively soul-winning for over 30 years, has been on the mission field, and has organized outreach efforts for churches. When God reached down from heaven to remove barriers and save Edward Thal's soul, no one realized the extent to which that God was setting in motion a series of dominoes that would greatly benefit so many people around the world, both saved and unsaved. Edward Thal was a very successful business man in South Africa where he was born and raised, but he walked away from it all and moved to the west as he began an earnest search for God. When God was pleased to reveal Himself, the barriers came tumbling down and his new life in Christ took off. In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we interview the mother of Micah Wilder, Dr. Lynn Wilder. Micah Wilder is a former Mormon missionary who came to faith in Christ after hearing the gospel from a Baptist pastor he was trying to convert to Mormonism. (Listen to Micah's testimony: https://removingbarriers.net/rbp_68/). After coming to genuine faith, he challenged his mother to read the scriptures like a child to see God for who He is. Dr. Lynn Wilder took him up on his challenge and by God's mercy, she encountered the true Christ and came to genuine faith. The barrier of Mormonism was a formidable one, especially since she was both a Mormon for 30 years and a tenured professor at Brigham Young University, but it was no match for the exceeding excellencies of the gospel of Christ. Join us as we find out how God tore those barriers down and how He is using her testimony to draw lost hearts to Him from all over the globe.
