Sawat Dasantad is a Missionary to Thailand with a heart to see the Thai people come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. In today's episode of the Removing Barriers Podcast, we continue our On The Mission Field series and sit down with Sawat to find out more about his upbringing, his conversion, and his current mission to serve the Lord faithfully in Thailand. It is a mission field with unique challenges. The people are kind but wary of foreigners, making relationship building a necessary prerequisite to evangelism. Sawat is Thai himself, but the Christian faith is regarded with much suspicion, fueled by misunderstandings, ignorance, and a fear of (and commitment to) tradition. In spite of this, God has already begun working to open hearts and save souls, so join us on this episode to hear how the barriers are being removed one by one, bit by bit, one person at a time.

It is often said that no one cares about what you have to say until they know how much you care. When it comes to sharing the gospel with lost souls across the globe, we are called to be salt and light, a blessing and not a curse to all those we encounter. In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we interview missionary Wilman Martinez, missionary to Honduras. Born and raised in the country, the Lord saved Wilman when he was a boy and called him to missions in his teenage years. It is indisputable that the West was largely built on Christian values and ethos, and the resulting culture has been a tree of blessing for all living under its branches, regardless of their personal faith and conviction. Where it has been found lacking, great strides have been made to lift the downtrodden. Can you have Christian culture without Christians? In the latest episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we are sharing a previously unreleased interview with H (yes, that is his real name!), a man whose life story is a testament to the power of faith and the transformative impact of accepting Christ. H's journey is not just about his personal salvation but also about the myriad barriers he faced and overcame along the way.
H was born in rural North Louisiana, near the Ouachita River, in a time when the Great Depression had left its mark on every aspect of life. His early life was marked by his father, a strong and sturdy man, and his mother, a sweet and tender woman. They created a stable environment, albeit one without much religious influence. Despite the lack of regular church attendance in his family, H found his way to the local Baptist church, often hitching a ride from passing churchgoers. It was in this humble setting, with no electric lights and a preacher who only visited bi-monthly, that H first encountered the gospel. The message was simple yet profound: "Ye must be born again."
For anyone facing their own barriers to faith, H's story offers hope and encouragement. It underscores the idea that while we cannot force others to accept Christ, we can live our lives in a way that reflects His love and grace and proclaim the truth of the gospel that they may know the mercy and grace available in Christ and Christ alone.

Alistair Begg is a well-known and well-respected pastor and Bible teacher who inadvertently set the world of Christian netizens ablaze when he revealed that he encouraged a Christian grandmother to not only attend an LGBTQ wedding, but to also bring a gift. While he had some supporters in this matter, the majority were shocked and appalled by this stance so uncharacteristic of a man who had proven himself to be a faithful man of God for well over 40 years. Responding to the critics, Begg doubled down, rejected calls for repentance, and dismissed them as Pharisaical legalists incapable of nuance and lacking compassion.
