In 2005 LaVena Johnson was a 19-year-old African American woman who was only deployed to Iraq for 8 weeks before she was found bruised, beaten, and dead. The military closed her case and ruled it as a suicide. 15 years later her family still fights for justice and her accused killer lives in Huntsville, AL.
