Renegade Talk Radio

Welcome Renegade Nation it’s me Naughty Nicole and it’s time for another Renegade Review. Today, we’re going to take a little bit of a departure and talk about a movie that I wouldn’t normally review. I received a request from a listener to review “something” for Black History month, and normally I prefer to review things simply because I watched, read or listened to it, I don’t need a particular holiday or “celebratory month” in order to do a review. But since this was a long-time listener, and he asked so nicely, I thought I would honor his wishes. So I decided I’d pick one of the movies that the Hollywood crowd is dubbing as Oscar-worthy and give it a whirl. So, today's show will be a review of the movie Hidden Figures.

Now if you’re unfamiliar with the basic story, the film follows three women of color as they become instrumental in the American Space program. So the movie centers on the great space race between the United States and Russia from the 1960’s. This period drama set during the space race peels back the curtain on a shameful corner of racial inequality and pays respect to a small group of people who didn’t get it at the time: the black female “human computers” at NASA whose brilliance helped launch America into space. Now this is based on a true story, and normally I love movies like this. And don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy this movie too, but there were a few things that I think could have been so much better, but we’ll get to that.

Nancy Du Tertre is a practicing lawyer, along with being a leading investigator in cold case police files as well as studying the paranormal phenomenon, including alien contact. One would not expect a lawyer to be dabbling in the paranormal, but Nancy's own psychic gifts have her leading the charge in finding out the mysteries life holds.

Bill Hauser, from the Canadian Paranormal Society has been a paranormal investigator for well over a decade. Half of that time he's been using the 'Ghost Box' to enhance his communication with those on the other side. Bill has become one of the most respected researchers when it comes to the use of the 'Ghost Box'. Tonight, he brings his expertise to Spaced Out Radio in a Live Ghost Box session.

Mr Skin on Renegade Talk Radio There is a TON of celebrity nudity to catch up on this week, starting off with Chrissy Teigen’s fresh nip slip at Super Bowl LI. And what better time than the present to reminisce on Janet Jackson’s epic wardrobe malfunction during the 2004 Super Bowl Halftime.

In the DVD/Blu-ray update, there’s Jennifer Connelly’s return to full frontal in American Pastoral and Tatiana Maslany’s topless debut in Two Lovers and a Bear on Blu-ray. In TV news, we’ve got Christina Ricci’s full frontal from Amazon’s Z: The Beginning of Everything, and the line HBO won’t cross with Shiri Appleby’s pearl necklace from season two of Girls.

Boston Single Girl, Kenzy Vixen, dishes about her trip to Las Vegas for the AVN (Adult Video News) Awards. Find out which porn star(s) she loves, who she lusts after and who intimidated her. Our little Barbara Walters of Porn talks about her favorite moments, the big names she interviewed and why she loves going to AVN in the first place (HINT: it's more than just the T and A...or so she says!)

As an avid watcher (OK, borderline addict) of porn, Kenzy poses the question to Renegade Nation: Does watching porn ruin your sex life? Find out where she stands (or sits, or lays down) on this important sex and relationship question.

Oh, and speaking of relationships-- Ms. Vixen tells Renegade Nation listeners, in her no-BS straight to the point Boston attitude-- exactly what men and women SHOULD be doing in relationships, but aren't! Is it romantic gestures? Is it playing nice with the parents? Is it more oral sex? Listen to our resident Boston bitch give it to you, no holds barred, as she vents about the battle of the sexes!

Hello Renegade Nation! This is Everly Isbe Connecting the Dots, as always! Today's show this February 4th starts first with a quick recap of what has gone on in this country since 9/11. I did this to bring the birdseye view of why Trump has become President and what his strategy is in some of his cabinet picks - and why - so that we can see where he is planning to take this country. I also talk into the strategy by the opposite camps - those criminal syndicates that have dominated this country and many country's halls of power for decades - who are attempting to take this administration down.

I'm focusing mainly on Trump's strategies, through specific cabinet picks, that will enable Trump to take this criminal syndicate out of power positions which, in the end will have a major impact not only in the good ol' USA but around the world. It's an interesting and fascinating time period we are entering - and as we move forward, the backlash we may witness has ramifications we can only surmise. The bad dragon is slashing its tail, my friends. Fasten your seatbelts and don't run around with your hair on fire! It's just that old Chinese Blessing/Curse: May you live in interesting times!

As always, thanks for listening. I hope this show sheds some important informational light on an important period of time we're all apart of.

Welcome Renegade Nation it’s me Naughty Nicole and it’s time for another Renegade Review. Today we’re taking a look at Taboo, FX's bleak new period miniseries. Now I’m the first one to say I love me some Tom Hardy. Seriously, the guy could read the phone book and make it fucking intense. And I love me some British drama’s – dry old Downton Abbey, sign me up. So when I heard that FX was taking two of my favorite things and making a showcase for star Tom Hardy's unapologetic weirdness, I jumped with glee. The eccentric 39-year-old English actor plays James Delaney, a mysterious figure who returns to London in 1814 following the death of his father and spends most of the first episode brooding and intimidating people. Like a gloomy reality-show contestant, Delaney is not here to make friends.

It doesn’t take long to realize that “Taboo,” the heavy-breathing new FX series set in Regency England, is going to be very ripe viewing. Rain on the moors, tubs of offal, bodies with coppers on the eyes, grave robbers, a funeral procession led by a dwarf — we’re talking the whole dark-gothic playbook. And that’s before we get to the half-sibling incest and the slave ship flashbacks and the Native American incantations.

But the most self-consciously gloomy thing about “Taboo,” which begins its eight-episode run on Tuesday, is its star, Tom Hardy, who created the show with his father, Chips Hardy, and the writer and producer Steven Knight. As James Keziah Delaney, who returns to London from abroad to reclaim his family legacy, Mr. Hardy growls, rasps, glowers and, when Delaney is caught without an answer, makes a popping noise that resembles a grunt.
