Join us every Wednesday for MIDWEEK — a time of fellowship, coffee and studying God’s Word together — from 7-8pm at 4684 Poplar Ave along with our student and children’s ministries. Nursery and preschool ministries will also be available for ages 6wks up to pre-K.

This Sunday, we are very excited to share some wonderful news regarding the future of our church.

The incarnation – the coming of Jesus Christ – was all about making God the Creator known to his children. It was about doing something so wonderful in our hearts that our lives – our new lives – would manifest God to the whole world. And it was about making it possible that all his children live in him, live of him, and live for him. Real life. Renewed life.

In John 17, Jesus said he would always be praying for this, working to accomplish this, even at this very moment.

"I am no longer in the world, but they are...Holy Father, keep them in your name." This request may be at the heart of Jesus' prayer in John 17. Anticipating the cross, he asks his Father to watch over his people. Protect their faith. Preserve their hope. Keep them from evil. And give them his own joy.

Last week, we learned an amazing truth: We will persevere through the trials of this life, not because of our grip on him, but because of his grip on us. Today, we will be talking more about how Jesus makes this a reality in our lives as we continue our current series through John 17. Join us as we celebrate the third Sunday of Advent together!

How active do you understand God to be in your day to day life? Indeed, he is very active. Jesus' prayer leads us by the hand into living in intimate friendship with our Father in the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom where you presently live as a disciple of Jesus. “The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them (he shows them the depths of his commitment toward them)” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭25:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬. Today we will ride the escalator of truth into nearness with God.
