Throughout this series we've learned that love evidences an authentic Jesus-person. So how do we begin maturing in this love? How do we throw off those old ugly feelings that always seem to be fighting our desire to care, to love, to be emotionally present, and to live in each others' stories? This Sunday we conclude our series, "If I Have Not Love."

Many people these days wonder who "the Antichrist" is and if he is yet among us. But the scriptures tell us that it's Jesus' coming we should anticipate. Yet, we are warned that what we need to be on the look out for is an antichrist impulse in our own lives. Do we love the truth? Do we abide in the truth? Are we in danger of being carried away by our sinful longings? Will we fellowship in the truth together?

John the Apostle, inspired by the Spirit, uttered these mysterious words: “the darkness is passing away and the true light is shining” (1 John 2:8). We want to share something wonderful with you this Sunday morning. The old way is dying. The new way is upon us. We who follow the Lord of Glory no longer have to yield to the old way. We can walk in love. It’s not an easy path. But the Holy Spirit will propel us if we allow him to.

The healing, cleansing power of God's love. Poured out among his beloved people. Where brokenness cannot any longer control us. Where we are most alive.

“Our world, our lives, are full of suffering and trials. They are very real and can be very painful. Does the evil of the world or the pain of our trials overwhelm God? Do they overwhelm our view of God? Sunday, we want to look at God’s Word and seek to understand God’s role in our suffering and trials. Take heart! In suffering, God is sovereign, present, and saving!”
