  • Growing God's Way
The Apostle Paul said something in Ephesians 4:15-16 that should be the common experience of every believer, yet is sadly rare. In essence, he said that those who are in Christ are to be interconnected with one another in such a potent way that deep spiritual growth is spawned in each of our lives.
Is this your general experience with the church? If not, that may be why you feel as though you're hitting a wall. Far too many Christians only know the kind of growth that results from independent, isolated spiritual practices. But this isn't God's will for you! We hope you'll join us this Sunday as we talk about Growing God's Way.

  • Treasuring Christ Together
In Colossians 2:1, the apostle Paul told a church he had never visited, "I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you." He had been suffering terribly for his ministry and his prime motivation to carry on was that the church might emerge as the divine community God intended. Paul was not indifferent about church.
Our aim at Christ the Rock is to walk out this God-ordained identity. So if you're a long-time member or are kicking the tires, this Sunday's message is critical for all of us. Will we be the Spirit-filled community which will stand against the gates of hell (Matthew 16:18)? Or will we "just have church?"
Our fall semester will begin by exploring this question.

  • Among Wolves
Sometimes church hurts. And in a city like ours where there are so many people who go to church, we are all bound to be disappointed sooner or later. Some people have abandoned church altogether while others just keep their heads down and maintain a safe distance from people. But there is a better way. We hope you will join us this Sunday - especially if you've ever been hurt by the church.
