This Sunday we continue our series with the Book of John. During the Feast of Tabernacles, Jesus reveals to the crowd that He is the Light. That those that walk with Him, will not walk in darkness nor sin. Pastor Ulysses teaches us therefore we have a choice. To fully embrace Christ and let Him illuminate the world and reveal to us the sins we cling to. Or we can choose to remain in the darkness and let it take away our connection with God.

What are we pursuing for a sense of fulfillment — Is it from traveling abroad, financial stability, or professional achievement? As we progress through John 7, we learn that genuine fulfillment will only come from "drinking" the Holy Spirit, and will allow us to authentically make an impact here on earth.

This Sunday, we continue through John 7, where Jesus imparts lessons to both his disciples and the people of Judea. In the sermon, Pastor Ulysses underscores the significance of aligning our lives with God's timing rather than solely relying on our own plans. What does it truly entail to live a Kairos life, actively seeking God's guidance and faithfully carrying out his will?

Are we looking towards Jesus to provide us the simple comforts of this world or are we genuinely seeking to be fulfilled with what He has to offer? This Sunday, we continue John chapter 6, where we are challenged to live a life grounded in that which is eternal and not the "empty calories" of this world.

In today's sermon, we return to the sermon series on the book of John. This week's talk focuses on the story of Jesus feeding the 5000, a remarkable miracle from which we are reminded of God's ability to provide. Through this sermon, pastor Ulysses encourages us to apply this truth — that God will provide — to our lives, and challenges us to not look at just our fish and our bread, but to look at Jesus.

On this Sunday's teaching, we learn from Pastor Ulysses the importance on waiting upon God rather than taking matters into your own hands. Through the lens of 1 Samuel, we see the growth of David's heart from one that is impulsive to one that trusts in the Lord and His will. This is especially difficult in modern times as we are habitualized to instant results. But a person that trusts in the will of the Lord and patiently waits for it to emerge, is one who will model their very heart after God’s.

Pastor Dandy concludes Renewal’s 2023 retreat with a teaching on how we can abide and abound in Christ through one another. He teaches us that there is a grace of God that we can only experience through each other in the Church’s body.
