When Paul invites the Corinthians to set aside money in order to alleviate the suffering of Jewish believers in Jerusalem, it represents a strategic form of spiritual warfare against the powers and principalities that seek to divide the body of Christ along cultural and/or theological lines.

The spiritual realm exists as the destination or fulfillment of the physical realm. Rather than the physical world shaping our view of the spiritual world, the glimpse of eternity offered in scripture should give us insight into the true state and purpose of things in the physical world.

One day, God's power will bring all of creation into the eternal reality of heaven. Scripture invites us to live into this reality today as we live to see heaven come to earth.
