The New Testament is filled with miracles: healings, deliverances, food multiplied and storms silenced. Jesus demonstrated kingdom power as a means to authenticate the message of the kingdom. The church has been given the same mandate to demonstrate the power of the gospel through the power gifts of the Holy Spirit. The transformative work the Lord is doing in each of us is powerfully accomplished in the gatherings of the local church. 1 Corinthians 12 describes a number of powerful gifts of the spirit that Christ has given to the Church to help transform her into the world shaking force He created her to be.

God created the material realm called earth in such perfect balance to sustain human life. He gave mankind a material body with natural faculties (hear, see, feel, taste, touch) so we could explore God's creation. But mankind is not primarily a material being but a spiritual being. Therefore, God gave spiritual faculties to every born again believer so we can explore (hear, see, feel, taste, touch) the spiritual realm.
