Amen! Folks, today we are talking about the "O' wretched man that I am" syndrome. Have you ever heard of this before? The Spirit of God told me about this doctrine/scapegoat of "O' Wretched Man that I am!" Because, many false leaders up in these apostate churches and among backsliding "christians," love this battlecry so much that it has become a doctrine to them! This is their mantra when they consistently entertain and indulge that flesh man/sin nature that should have been crucified with Christ! Blaming their wicked behavior on the O' wretched man that I am syndrome! They use what Paul said as a vehicle, a scapegoat, a cover-up for their rebellious reckless lifestyles against God, as if they have no part in it! "Woe is me" is constantly on their lips!

Listen, if you have sincerely and truly repented of your sins, you do not make provision for the flesh to be tantalized! You don't provoke. You don't tease. You don't flirt. You don't excite. You don't gratify. You don't satisfy, tempt nor bait that flesh man to resurrect by playing with 's fire!

I'd promised in my last episode, that I was going to research and pull into context what Paul said in Romans 7:24, "O' wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?" And we are going to find out WHY Paul was lamenting that his soul was wretched because of the good that he WANTED to do, he didn't do. But the evil, THAT which he did even more so. Therefore, he was torn and broken about this condition! The context of it all, is that Paul made this observation, this one reflection: living under the Law, the sinful man with a fallen nature, cannot please God by his works. That man may want to do good, but because of his unregenerated, unborn, unrenewed spirit, he cannot! He will ALWAYS be wretched and lamenting! Paul was not making this cry in Christ, drenched in the precious blood of Jesus, under God's saving grace. That is what's being taught and have become a stumbling block to many and most in the Body. Therefore, we cannot use this any longer as a defense and excuse for wicked behavior, while professing the Name of Jesus as your Lord and Savior! So tune in to get all the details!

Having moral courage, is to stand for what is right against all opposition and every adversity. Following Jesus and carrying this great Gospel, that will offend those who are living foul, demands having a spiritual backbone!! Having the conviction of faith and willingness to STAND and LIVE by faith! We cannot be cowards when we are standing flat-footed in the truth of God's Word: opposing sin and those who live in it. Moral cowardice fears consequences of standing for truth. Moral courage will not compromise with sin. Moral courage trusts in God. Sin must not be tolerated for the sake of peace…for the sake of a job, relationships, etc.

Living a life of morality and having moral courage in the face of hostility from the secular world and self-righteous brethren, takes discipline. It takes listening to Jesus, obeying His voice, and following Him! It takes living a life that is not rife with unbridled, unrestrained, wickedness! It is living a life that is not characterized by willful, deliberate, blatant, knowing sin! It is living a sensible, upright, and godly life, reflecting spiritual maturity as we await the coming of our Lord! Amen! Be holy. Live clean. It was bought with the precious, priceless, matchless, shed blood of Jesus Christ! We are not our own! The confusion comes into play when we still think we have a say about our lives! Our lives are now in Christ! This is not a democracy where the people have a voice like in the earthly satanic pagan secular world! The Kingdom of God is a theocracy! There is one King! One God! One LORD! One Spirit of Truth! One Head of the Body of Christ - Jesus Christ who willingly laid down His perfect sinless life for our sins. 3 days later, God raised Jesus from the dead! You and I are not our own!!

We are bondservants to the One who ransomed us from the kingdom of darkness and saved us from the coming just wrath of holy God. We have been reconciled to God through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ! Some of us, still think that we have a right to do with these mortal bodies as we wish! Those in the world, this is their mantra: my body, my choice! Don't be deceived as these pagan unbelieving gentiles.

Paul teaches us, by the Spirit of God, in Ephesians 4:17-24, that we "must no longer live as the unbelieving Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds and in the foolishness and emptiness of their souls, for their moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is clouded; they are alienated and self-banished from the life of God with no share in it; this is because of the willful ignorance and spiritual blindness that is deep seated within them, because of the hardness and insensitivity of their heart. And they, the ungodly in their spiritual apathy, having become callous and unfeeling, have given themselves over as prey to unbridled sensuality, eagerly craving the practice of every kind of impurity that their desires may demand. But you did not learn Christ in this way! If in fact you have really heard him and have been taught by him, just as truth is in Jesus revealed in his life and personified in him, that regarding your previous way of life, you put off your old self completely discard your former nature, which is being corrupted through deceitful desires, and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind having a fresh, unparnished mental and spiritual attitude, and put on the new self, the regenerated and renewed nature, created in God's image, God-like in the righteousness and Holiness of the truth living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation." MANY people believe that if your spouse commits adultery, you can REMARRY. It is a LIE from the pit of ! Jesus Christ has clearly taught us that DIVORCE and REMARRYING another person when you have a LIVING spouse (a covenant spouse) is ADULTERY!

💥💥 The teachings of Jesus are clear :

👉🏾 Mark 10:1-12: teaches that what God has joined together through matrimony, and the one flesh union, let no man put ASUNDER.

👉🏾 Matthew 5:32 - "But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery."

👉🏾Matthew 19:9: teaches that if a man or woman divorces and marries another, you commit ADULTERY.

👉🏾 Luke 16:18: teaches that anyone who divorces their spouse and marries another person commits ADULTERY. And the person who marries a DIVORCED woman/man, commits ADULTERY.

👉🏾Romans 7:1-3: "Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

👉🏾1 Corinthians 7:10-11: "But to the married [believers] I give instructions—not I, but the Lord—that the wife is not to separate from her husband, 11 (but even if she does leave him, let her remain single or else be reconciled to her husband) and that the husband should not leave his wife."

👉🏾1 Corinthians 7:39-40: "A wife is bound [to her husband by law] as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry whomever she wishes, only [provided that he too is] in the Lord. 40 But in my opinion a widow is happier if she stays as she is. And I think that I also have the Spirit of God [in this matter]."

I was truly blessed by the Lord when a young married couple, both 21 years old and in Christ, approached me while I was preaching. These two precious souls are embarking on a lifetime of marriage. And, therefore, by the grace of God, I was counseling them that marriage is for life! I was giving them the teaching I have done many times on the podcast on divorce, remarriage and adultery. So that they are not lulled into the sin of adultery if they ever decide to divorce and remarry when one of them are still alive. It was truly a blessing because most young couples do not get this biblical teaching: the one flesh union is in effect until death! This martial covenant is for life!

The gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ was preached, exhorting the people that they must repent, turn from their sins and come to Christ so that His precious blood can cleanse them from all unrighteousness, thereby, the wrath of God would no longer be upon them! I pray in the Name of Jesus that many hearts were pricked today that they, too, would ask what must I do to be saved? Peter, by the Holy Spirit, tells us what a sin-sick soul must do: "37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls" (Acts 2). Beloved, our Lord and Savior tells us in John 8:31-32, "...If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples. 32 And you will know the truth [regarding salvation], and the truth will set you free [from the penalty of sin].” Amen! Therefore, if you are NOT abiding in His word, by obeying His teachings and living according to them, you ARE NOT His disciple! It's as simple as that! They simply do not fear the LORD! They continuously, willfully, deliberately, and shamefully take His grace as a license to sin! They increase in sin, rather than righteousness!

They are NOT studying the Word of God! Because it will tell them that they are living foul! It is in there, they will see that they are living a life of blatant immorality and the GUILT of their consciences pushes the Bible away, in effect, pushing Christ away! Instead of digging into the Scriptures like we ought for holy living, THEY make excuses for their wanton behavior! They hang onto the false doctrine of "once saved/ always saved," believing that they can live any kind of way NOW and still get to go to Heaven LATER because of the MANY false teachings and doctrines of devils that are coming out of these apostate churches! Do not be deceived beloved, we are COMMANDED to live holy lives in appreciation of what Christ has done for us at the cross! Amen! Live clean. Be holy. Stand firm until the end. Consider all your ways before the Lord! 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!

We have to always remember that we, too, died with Christ (study Galatians 2:20) and we, too, shall be resurrected as He was resurrected! When Christ conquered death for us, He removed the “sting of death:” sin —that is, we will not be judged by God according to our sins; rather, we will stand before God robed in Christ’s own perfect righteousness. Christ has received our death penalty for sin and, through His death, has conquered death!! OUR RESURRECTED SAVIOR REMAINS ALIVE STILL TILL THIS DAY, seated at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven! Amen!

Romans 8:37, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].” To conquer is to be victorious over an adversary. To be "more than a conqueror" means we not only achieve victory, but we are OVERWHELMINGLY victorious!! Therefore, we must strip "off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus" (study Hebrews 12:1-2).

In all seven letters to the churches in Asia Minor, the Lord ends with a promise to the one who overcomes. This gives us much to look forward to. Remembering Romans 6:8, "...we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live [together] with Him." WE SHALL BE OVERCOMERS!! Be holy. Live clean. Consider all your ways before the LORD! What we're dealing with here, is that many people in American society (and around the world), for the most part, are nothing but religious churchgoers! That's it! They spend no time with God, they're not true worshipers in Spirit and in truth! They live in practicing sin, they hate correction, they can't stand rebuke of any sort, they claim to know the Bible, but don't live according to the commands in the Bible! They scoff at holiness and righteous living teachings as something impossible to obtain and sustain.

They come from the camp of "Once Saved/Always Saved." Both the apostate pulpit and its congregants teaches and promotes the way to salvation is "inviting Jesus in your heart." Many assume they are “safe” because they can recall a time, probably in their childhood, when they repeated a prayer or "came forward" during a church service or maybe they raised their hand when an "invitation" was given while everyone’s heads were bowed and eyes were closed. But teachings of sin, repentance, righteousness, and the wrath of God are from far these pulpits! God does not save people because they've said some unbiblical “sinner's prayer” or because they asked Jesus to come into their heart! Christ through the Holy Spirit does not reside in a dark heart that is rebellious toward Him! These are they that we must steer clear of; for their bad company will corrupt our good morals! Salvation comes through repentance. God's grace saves us, not a recited prayer! When a person fears the Lord, they turn from sin. The heart of true born-again believer, yearns and seeks to please God in all their ways!

The characteristics of a Spirit-filled/led child of God who is truly born-again, is found in 1 John 3:9, "No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again—who is reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him." Beloved, don't be deceived by these tares, they will pull you away from the Living Christ and His sound teachings! Beware! Amen!

Folks listen, we must be aware that tares are growing up with the wheat! The Lord Jesus Christ tells us the parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13, "30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

Beloved, we will always have the tares (the false brethren) among us. These are they who claim that Jesus "knows their hearts;" giving the impression that we can stay in willful, deliberate, blatant sin and God will usher us into the Kingdom ANYWAY! That we can keep on sinning because God "understands" we live in this flesh body! Their problem is that they do not love God, nor fear Him! They make light of the shed blood of Jesus by the way they choose to live in opposition of the command we were given by Jesus to "Go, and sin no more" (John 8:11). Scripture is unanimous, the unrighteous will not inherit God's Kingdom! We cannot be deceived, we cannot let anyone lead us astray, especially false teachers and false brethren! The false brethren loves to pull from Satan's playbook that "we all are sinners STILL," that "we all commit sin STILL" and that Jesus "knows I'm trying!"

Do not let anyone trick and fool you into thinking that "once you are saved, you are always saved!" That is a doctrine straight from the devil! God commands for us to be holy and perfect in Christ Jesus! There is no wiggle room for sin! It is not to be tolerated, it is not to be defended, it is not to be excused, but most importantly, it is not to be practiced! John summed it up in his letter in 1 John 3, in which every true follower of Jesus' must get this understanding: 👇🏾

"6 No one who abides in Him [who remains united in fellowship with Him—deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin. No one who habitually sins has seen Him or known Him...." 9 No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again—who is reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are clearly identified: anyone who does not practice righteousness [who does not seek God’s will in thought, action, and purpose] is not of God, nor is the one who does not [unselfishly] love his [believing] brother."
