Repent and Believe Podcast w/ Cynthia Smalls

The Law is the issue that has to be dealt with in order to bring us into a right relationship with God. Know that a man is not justified by observing the Law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the Law, because about observing the Law no one will be justified." (Galatians 2:16)

Christ became the end of the Law by virtue of what He did on earth through His sinless life and His sacrifice on the Cross. So, the Law no longer has any bearing over us because it's demands have been fully met in the Lord Jesus Christ. Faith in Christ who satisfied the righteous demands of the Law restored us into a pleasing relationship with God and keep us there. No longer under the penalty of the Law, we now live under the Law of Grace in the love of God.

Peter, called to be an Apostle, teaches in his 2nd letter that there will be false teachers among us. Many will follow their evil teachings and shameful immorality! These wolves-in-sheep-clothing will slander the truth and in their greed, will make up clever lies to get a hold of your money! We must be aware of the dangers of false teachers among the Body of Christ! Study 2 Peter, Chapter 2.

In today's study, we are discussing are we free from The Law of Moses or are we now under Grace in Christ Jesus? Jesus Christ, our Lord, HAS set us free from the penalty of the Law which is DEATH - eternal separation from God the Father. Because of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, sin NO LONGER has mastery over us so that it SHOULD NOT reign in our mortal bodies. Amen!

Always remember, sin NO LONGER has any power over you now that you're in Christ Jesus!

In today's study, we are called to make no provisions for this flesh by the things we see, the things we touch, the things we hear and how it makes us feel. All these things appeal to our "flesh man" that says, "Yaaay! Let's get the party really started!" Oh ABSOLUTELY not flesh, we will not!!!

Our Heavenly Holy Father says to "Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord."

In today's study, we see what it looks like to be friends (to be in intimate relationship/covenant) with this "present and evil world." That "worldly system" that shuns God, that rejects the Lord Jesus Christ (and His finished works at the Cross), that willingly (and by default ) worships Satan... it's that "WORLD" that Jesus calls us to separate from. For He knows all too well the eventual destination of the path of incremental compromise and accommodation when we, like the pagans, "runs after all these things"... and that is THE LAKE OF FIRE!

Because of God's gift of REPENTANCE, we can no longer live & tolerate the sin we commit! It bothers us as Believers in Christ Jesus heavily and it convicts us. There's no longer any enjoyment in it. It weighs heavy on our hearts and spirits. But glory be to God that we are coming out of all manner of sin and we shout, "NO MORE GOING BACK TO THAT VOMIT!!" AMEN!

I HATE EVIL!! I hate the way evil make people behave, with all manner of deceit, violence, treachery, lies and unfaithfulness. If that's the case, then I want NOTHING to do with evil nor with the sons of disobedience - but only be a vessel of the Lord to preach them the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified!

Repentance, properly defined, is necessary for salvation. Biblical repentance is changing your mind about your sin - no longer is sin something to toy with (AT ALL!); it is something to be forsaken as we "flee from the coming wrath" (see Matt. 3:7). It is also changing your mind about Jesus Christ - no longer is He to be mocked, discounted or ignored; He is the Savior to be clung to; He is the Lord to be worshiped and adored! Amen!
