On Sunday, July 13, 2014, Conrad Roy was discovered to have committed suicide in his truck through carbon monoxide poisoning. What would be uncovered after searching his phone would lead to a case that intrigued the nation. After a long series of text messages between Conrad and his girlfriend Michelle, it appeared that she not only encouraged him to commit suicide but also instructed him to get back into his truck when he got scared at one point and exited the vehicle. Many have questioned this. A new HBO documentary about Michelle Carter titled, "I Love You, Now Die," by Erin Lee Carr gives us a glimpse into the prosecution and defense. Why did Michelle Carter do it? Where is Michelle Carter now in 2019. Join Awen and I as we discuss modern relationships, the power of words and the new normal of interpersonal relationships in the world of social media.

Have you ever felt so fed up with someone’s indecisiveness that you tell them to just crap or get off the pot? What if their indecisiveness was about making the decision to take their own life? What if, after you told them to do it, they went out and killed themselves. Would you be upset when found yourself in handcuffs facing manslaughter charges? What if that person was someone you claimed to love? What if the real reason wasn’t because of their indecisiveness, but because you wanted to be the grieving girlfriend.
Today I take a look into the world of Michelle Carter. In 2014 after the discovery of her boyfriend's suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning it was brought to light that Michelle not only encouraged Conrad Roy to kill himself via text messages but she also instructed him to get back into his truck after he exited the cab when he began to change his mind. Why did Michelle Carter do it?

At 7:30 AM, on February 27, 2012, he walked into Chardon High School and opened fire. When all was said and done three students lost their lives, one student was paralyzed and two others suffered minor injuries. The High School and the town would be forever changed though.
Classmates of T.J. Lane were shocked to find out it was him that created such devastation. Most people described him as a quiet but nice guy. Rumors spread that he had targeted the group of boys he took aim at because one of them had begun dating his ex-girlfriend. No one knows the real reason that T.J. snapped that day.
Most people will recognize the familiar photos of T.J. Lane during sentencing, smirking and laughing at the victim's families. T.J. took his dress shirt off to reveal a white t-shirt beneath that bore the handwritten word “Killer,” on it. What he also revealed was that he was full of rage and hate and wanted the entire world to resent him at the cost of others' lives.
In this episode, I take a look into the crime as well as the aftermath. What is T.J. Lane up to years later after his shocking crime and distasteful courtroom antics? Is he capable of remorse? Let’s take a further look.

On Nov. 17, 2015, Jennifer Rosenbaum called 911 to report that Laila choked while eating a chicken nugget. Rosenbaum said she used the Heimlich maneuver and then CPR on Laila, who later died.
But paramedics noted bruising on Laila’s body. And an autopsy revealed the child suffered a blow to her abdomen that ruptured her pancreas. She also had other internal injuries and broken bones suffered over time, according to GBI medical examiners. There was no evidence she had choked, the autopsy revealed.
Two weeks after Laila’s death, the Rosenbaums were arrested and charged in the toddler’s death.
Why did this happen?
How were the Rosenbaums allowed to have the children after numerous complaints against them?
Did they only want the children as a facade for political gain?
