We hope the first half wasn't too weird for you, because we're just getting started with this sci-fi tale described by so many critics as Lord of the Flies meets Stephen King...but with superpowers. The critics didn't even mention the talking wolves or The Darkness. Can you imagine where the plot will go in the next five books of this series? We try to do just that in this episode.

The time has come for another John Green episode, and this time our Patreon subscribers voted for Paper Towns (2008)! This is a book whose cultural significance is based more on the kind of story that it became a symbol of rather than the plot itself. Kellie and Daphne unpack the nuances and accuracy of the "manic pixie dream girl" label for Margo, along with road trips, discussions about metaphors, quirky character traits, and nerds getting kissed by cool girls. It was another very close poll for our movie bonus episode this month, but the 2014 cinematic classic The Giver took the crown. It also took 97 minutes of our lives that we can never get back.
