The Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release marine animals. In doing this, they also seek to inspire the human spirit. David Kinne, Training and Development Specialist at CMA, tells the inside story of several of the aquarium’s residents and the impact they have on the lives of visitors, staff, and volunteers. As a bonus, he shares insights from his previous career as a stand-up comedian about the role of laughter in lifting the human spirit.

Larry Knauer co-founded the sailing program at Adaptive Adventures, a nonprofit whose motto is "Freedom Through Mobility".  He describes the specially designed boats they use to take people with a range of disabilites (including sight impairment) out on the water and teach them to sail, and the positive impact the program has on the partivipants and volunteers.  You will definitely want to hop on a sailboat after listening to this show!

Frances Kampouris is the founder of Redville: Strategies for Transitions. She specializes in working with leaders--including politicians and business executives--to help them navigate major transitions. In this interview, she shares some of the reasons behind the high turnover rate in Canada's parliament and the resilience challenges that politicians face, as well as her strategies for helping leaders and their teams make significant transitions.

Jessica Bronzert spent several years helping leaders at a Fortune 50 firm develop their resilience to deal with major organizational changes. She recently took the leap to start her own business, The Sparks Group, as an executive coach and consultant helping individuals and organizations go through change more effectively. Along the way, she built her own resilience by dealing with life challenges. In this wide-ranging interview, we touch on many aspects of resilience and how people can learn to develop it.

Brinkley Hutchings talks about her passion for helping young people learn about the outdoors, her journey from burnt-out activist to coach, and her love of supporting people with big dreams. She offers tips for people who are frustrated in trying to achieve a big dream, and describes how she sustains the energy to pursue her own dreams.

Organizational change presents lots of opportunities for resilience. In this show, Heather Stagl, founder of Enclaria, talks about how change agents can deal with the frustration of trying to get things done without formal authority. 

Heather equips individuals and teams to influence change at work through individual coaching, team workshops, and training programs, drawing on her years of experience in implementing strategic initiatives. She is a blogger and radio host of the "Influence Change at Work" show on BlogTalkRadio. She is also the author of 99 Ways to Influence Change and the change management toolkit, the Irresistible Change Guide.

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA in Leadership and Change Management from DePaul University. She currently serves on the board of Organization Change Alliance, a learning community of organization development and change management practitioners in metro Atlanta.

Claude Werner has served as an Army Ranger, taught firearms skills to military and law enforcement, and publishes a blog on self-defense. A few years ago, he began to have significant heart-related issues that made it difficult for him to exert any physical effort. He thought he might die. After he had a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted, he has begun to regain his strength. In this interview he talks about how he's dealt with these challenges.
