Doctors have an incredible amount of pressure on them every single day. From patient loads to conflict in the office, to stress in their personal lives, and the fear of being sued - Doctors have a lot of stress!
As a doctor you're really good at taking care of your patients, but not so much at taking care of yourself - right?
This episode is dedicated to all of the hard-working, stressed-out doctors who do a thankless job every day. I offer really good advice for doctors who think they have to push through on their own.
It's time you start taking care of yourself for a change.
You are NOT the only one who struggles with mental barriers. But the ones who really succeed in business and life are the ones who do something about it. To work on themselves first, and those who place a high value in their mental wellbeing.
That's what this podcast is about. Resilio is Latin for resilience, so this podcast is to help you build a resilient mind.
As a board-certified counselor, I will give you encouragement, and the inspiration to work on yourself, but YOU must be the one who puts it to practice.

Feeling like you have to be perfect can get in the way of your growth. Perfectionism creates unrealistic expectations that can lead to burnout. When you expect yourself to be perfect in everything you do, it's hard to accept defeat and failure. Defeat and failure are a part of life that teaches us and shows us that we are not as perfect as we think we are.
We are not perfect! There is only one man who walked this earth who is perfect, and we're not Him.
And yet, so often we can have the tendency to feel like we must be perfect in all we do. And for those of you who lean toward perfectionism, it's really hard to accept other people's imperfections too, isn't it?
In this episode, I talk about how perfectionism can get in the way and what you can do to work on striving for excellence, not perfection.

Burnout Is Looking For You!
“You can own your own business, you can own five different homes across the Nation, you can be a multi-millionaire, you can even own an island. But if I have your mind, I control you. And if I can control you, I have everything that you own, I have the power to destroy you.
It doesn't matter who you are, it doesn't matter how powerful you are, it doesn't matter how wealthy or how smart you are, if I have your mind and your emotions, I have control over you.
You are my puppet.” - Burnout
Anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout don’t care who you are. They want to take over your life. And if you allow them to take over, if you give them a foothold, they will ruin you. They will control you, they will dictate how you feel, and they will dictate what you do. They will destroy your relationships.
You are NOT the only one who struggles with mental barriers. But the ones who really succeed in business and life are the ones who do something about it. To work on themselves first, and those who place a high value in their mental wellbeing.

As entrepreneurs, we all have had negative thoughts about ourselves from time to time, but sometimes those negative thoughts can bring us down and hold us back. This episode of Mastering Your Negative Thought Cycle will help you gain a better understanding of how to learn from your mental barriers.
When we have bad things happen we have a choice, to either allow the negative thoughts to stunt our growth, or we can accept the negative situation and learn how to reframe, recalibrate, and reset the negative thoughts and feelings.
What if you were able to control those negative thoughts and emotions and actually turn them into fuel your gifts and passions? What if you were able to reframe your angry thoughts to thoughts of understanding and empathy? How would that feel?
You are NOT the only one who struggles with mental barriers. But the ones who really succeed in business and life are the ones who do something about it. To work on themselves first, and those who place a high value in their mental wellbeing.

Entrepreneurs who have mental barriers are either chasing something or retreating from something. Mental barriers like stress and anxiety can make some entrepreneurs chase the next big thing in hopes that it will bring some kind of relief. The problem is, once the summit is reached it doesn't bring the relief they were hoping for, so they chase something else.
On the other end of the spectrum, entrepreneurs who retreat from something bad or stressful that happened feel like the weight of the world is on their shoulders and they feel like giving up.
Are you a chaser or a retreater?
The good news is, both can be a positive influence in your life - if you let it be. Stop focusing on the negative side effects of your mental barriers and start leaning into them. Once you lean into them you'll become the master of your circumstances instead of the other way around.
You are NOT the only one who struggles with mental barriers. But the ones who really succeed in business and life are the ones who do something about it. To work on themselves first, and those who place a high value in their mental wellbeing.

Are you an entrepreneur? Are you passionate about your dream and driven to succeed? Great, that means you are a high-powered, high-level entrepreneur who gets things done. But, do you also struggle with mental barriers like anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout?
The dirty little secrets that are not talked about in business are the emotional and mental barriers in the life of an entrepreneur. I have helped professional athletes, high-powered CEO's in very large and well-known companies, and politicians. And let me tell you, they all struggle with the same issues.
You are NOT the only one who struggles with mental barriers. But the ones who really succeed in business and life are the ones who do something about it. To work on themselves first, and those who place a high value in their mental wellbeing.
