I know, I know. You prefer shorter episodes. But what do I do when I have a candidate for Congress that answers the questions with actual, substantive answers?

This episode features Erin Petrey. She’s one of four Democrats in the primary to run for Congress in Kentucky’s 6th Congressional district. I recently posted a video about this race and declared all four candidates to be “empty suits”. Then I invited them to come on my podcast and prove me wrong. Erin, so far, is the only one to accept the challenge. I had 10 questions for her and was hoping that it would go relatively quickly. 90 minutes later, I learned that you can’t do 10 question in 20-30 minutes. However, I was able to get it down to just under an hour. Spoiler alert: she’s not an empty suit.

I was supposed to drop a new episode of the podcast today. However, several weeks ago I dropped an episode of very low quality because I was more concerned about timing than quality. I promised I wouldn’t do that again. Hopefully, I’ll catch up tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I’ve been wanting to get this video out for a while. It’s about the need for us to strengthen our states as a means of saving our nation. I hope you like it.

I was asked by my TikTok friend in Kentucky to make a video on this race. I’m glad I took him up on it because now is the time to identify the problems in races like this that could prevent Dems from having a banner year in 2026.
