This is a secular holiday, but it can meaningful if you make resolutions. Dennis talks about three categories of resolutions – health, happiness and character.  We defeat ourselves before we start because we think that if we can’t keep our resolutions, why start? But if you make a resolution and keep it for, say, three months isn’t that better than doing nothing?
