The Lord is good, and He has proven that throughout the last 5 years! As we celebrate our Plantiversary at Restoration Church, we remember what the Lord has done!

Followers of Jesus are commanded to "pray without ceasing". Constant communication with the God who made us should mark us, but do we petition Him with a posture of expectation? The Apostle Paul reminds us that not only is the Lord able; He is more than able! As we gather on Sunday, let's celebrate this truth!!!

Strength is more than just physical; it's also mental. In his letter to the Ephesians, Apostle Paul is not shy about talking about the battles that we (as believers) face in this world. With this in mind, he encourages them & us to be rooted and grounded in Christ! Let's do that as we worship the Lord.

Have you ever wanted to figure something out? Maybe it was a secret that your parents were keeping. Maybe it was a new skill. Whatever it was or is, there is a sense of relief when it is no longer a mystery. The Apostle Paul writes to the Ephesians that the most important thing, the gospel, is no longer a mystery, but what does that mean for us? Patience is a struggle for many of us, but what are we willing to wait for? The writer of Psalm 130 claims that we should wait for the Lord. Waiting for the Lord doesn't mean being passive as we'll discuss this Sunday. Join us as we wrap up our Songs of Ascent.

In a fallen, broken world, it is sometimes difficult to see the good. However the omnipresence of God tells us that He is working in places even when we can’t see Him. The Lord did great things in the midst of the Israelites, He has done great things throughout history, and He is continuing to do GREAT things now! Join us on Sunday as we dig into Psalm 126 to discover this truth.

Where can we turn when our life seems to lie in ruins? Through faith in Jesus, God's people are unshakeable and secure forever. Because of Christ's finished work, the evil we suffer today will one day end. Therefore, we can run to the Lord for salvation with the hope of eternal peace.

It isn’t hard to see that we have enemies. The question is “do we know who the enemies are?” Psalm 124 is a beautiful reminder from King David that “if not for the Lord” Israel would have been defeated. The same is true in our lives; “if not for the Lord, we would …” This week’s Song of Ascent will cause us to reflect deeply and look to the Lord.

What are your eyes set on? This is a valid question as some of us focus on the immediate, some on the future, and some in between. However we are all looking toward something or someone, but the object of our sight is important! The psalmist gives us the Person that we should look to. Let’s follow the Scriptures as we gather this Sunday.

Celebration! The Jewish people did this often as they would journey up to Jerusalem for numerous festivals of remembrance and celebration of what God had done. As we consider this from Psalm 122, a reflective question arises… “Is celebration something to marks our lives as Christians?” Are we a celebratory people?
