They knew what Jesus was declaring.

But Jesus came not to take over by power, but to serve and be the sinless, spotless Passover lamb.

This is our King! The King of Kings.

There is a temptation to make a name for ourselves by what we do, or to try to impress God by our works. But God says don't boast in your accomplishments, boast in this - that you know God! When looking at all he accomplished, Paul said nothing comes close to knowing God. Is your greatest desire to know God? Is that what you are bragging about?

In Matthew 15 people complain because the disciples of Jesus don't follow tradition and wash their hands. These complaints come at the same time people are being healed, delivered, and set free. Often, we can fall in to the same trap of complaining that people don't do things the same way we do them. In this message we look at the idol of tradition and all the ways it creeps into our lives, and are challenged to have a heart that constantly seeks the Lord.

Jesus was very clear, don't be anxious about your life. Instead, seek first the Kingdom of God and trust God for your life. Is this how we live? Do we trust Him? Do we recognize that all things come from Him? We look at Jesus teaching in Luke 12 and talk about the idol of money.

Reece VanNiekerk from Overland Missions talks about the idol of comfort and how it's a counterfeit for peace, which is promised in Christ.
