In this psalm, God chastises His people for making Him small, imagining Him to be just like us, imagining that He is okay with the evil they are doing. God doesn’t need us or the things we do for Him; we need Him, however, He does desire to be in holy relationship with us.
And He calls us to a heart of thanksgiving. Can we be people of holy thanksgiving and still allow our feet, our hands, our eyes, our ears, our heart…to run towards evildoing? Will a truly thankful person forget God, from whom all blessings flow?
