Paul closes his letter to the Galatians with a summary in his own handwriting. It's essentially a cliff notes of the entire book: reject the legalism from the Judaizers, and embrace the grace of Jesus Christ through His work on the cross. When we do that, we boast in the glory of the cross, and bear the marks of Jesus in our lives.

Pauls address to the Galatians has been filled with warning and practical application. We continue on with practical application for walking in the Spirit. God has called us to be different, and to use our finances to build into our abundanat life. We reap what we sow, and if we sow things of the flesh, corruption and destruction follows, but if we sow into our spiritual life, we reap an abundant life.

Paul instructs us to bear one another's burdens and to restore gently. Sin can befall all of us, so be ready to restore.

Paul writes two lists. One attributed to works of the flesh, and one as fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit has no limit and should be the mark of every follower of Christ.

Paul issues a statement about freedom: don't use it for your own flesh, but to serve others. It's how they'll know we're Christians..by our love.

Paul urges the Galatians to resist legalism and cling to the grace of Jesus. He's the exclusively inclusive Savior and His death and resurrection gives us life.

Paul argues that Judaizers and legalizers are no longer children of the promise. His reference to Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar is both shocking and revealing. Legalism promotes self righteousness and is enslaved to law, while grace promotes Christ and is free. Our implication then is to live supernaturally in our day to day lives.

Paul has a reminder for the Galatians. He's not their enemy. Just because he's got some rebuke for them doesn't undo their relationship. We keep that in mind today as Clayton shares that oftentimes sanctification takes rebuke.

Requirements are a part of life. But are they a part of the life of following Jesus? Yes. But not in ways you think.
