Jesus continues to try to reassure the disciples that His leaving is for their benefit. We take a look at just how that plays out and we ask the question of what are we going to do with Jesus?

Jesus tells us what the worlds reception is of those who remain in Him...and it's not great. Regardless, we don't lower our standards based on the worlds acceptance. In order to follow Him, we must throw off the god of comfort and seek God the Comforter.

Loving Jesus means we follow His commands. While it's not always an easy thing, it's always the right thing. Jesus knew it wouldn't be easy, so He said He was sending a Helper. That Helper indwells those who follow Him.

Trouble seems to follow us wherever we go. If we have breath in our lungs, trouble is lurking around every corner. We're promised trouble in life. We're also promised a way through the trouble and peace while in times of trouble. We look to Jesus, who says He is the way, the truth and the life.

Elvis was wrong. We can help falling in love. Love is a choice. Jesus instructs the disciples, and us, to love one another. In fact, he says that the world will know we are His disciples in the way we love one another, something we've fallen far short of.

Have you ever thought of yourself as greater than you actually are? Of course you have. Because you're human. We all have. Jesus gives us what we need in order to combat that and remind us that pride misses the point, something we can't afford when it comes to Jesus and what He calls us to be.

Jesus shares the most incredible and controversial thing with His disciples. We may breeze by it as we read, but for the disciples it'd have dropped their jaws. It's implication also reaches us today.

As we enter into the room, Jesus gives us a striking example of what it means to be a leader in His Kingdom.
