The separations of the Jewish people are about knowing the difference between clean and unclean. Separation is a principle for understanding how we live, act, and how our understanding of what is clean and unclean affects our daily decisions. God set apart a people, the Jewish people, for Himself but His purpose was to open the doors wide for anyone, from any nation, who calls on the name of Yeshua.

If we understand the reason for commandments in the first place and we "look, remember and observe" the commandments that our for us (different commands for different people) we will find what it means to live out the freedom that you were to designed for by God. In "Commandment Keeping for Dummies" we look at the fringes (Tzitzit) that God commanded Jewish people to wear, what they are really for and how they help us "look, remember and observe" the commandments.

Immersion in water is a first century Jewish rite of passage with roots from the Torah and continued with Yeshua and his disciples. At Restoration, we believe everyone should be immersed in water as an expression of faith and part of the process of becoming fully devoted followers of Yeshua.

For those who love God, we live in the tension of two ideas regarding identity: "who you are is everything" and "who are are is nothing." If you are confused about who you are then you can't know what you're called to be! At Restoration, we have Jews (circumcised) who follow Yeshua and Gentiles (uncircumcised) both a part of the same family of God but differences in how we follow in daily practice. It's not that different from the struggle of the original followers of Yeshua in the first century and not as complicated as it seems.

Shabbat (Sabbath) is a gift not a burden. God designed you for rest and gave us Shabbat so we could cease, rest and end…to start again towards another Shabbat and ultimately to a never ending rest when we return to our Creator.

Learning to practice focused prayer will help us to learn how to bob & weave our way through Satans attacks. As we experience these victories, the freedom God wants us to have over sin will transform us and others as well!

Every square inch, every split second is claimed by God and counter claimed by Satan.” Whether or not we choose to acknowledge it, we are participants in a spiritual battle against Satanic forces! In this conflict, we need to learn to counter these demonic attacks by taking up the primary weapon gives us: His written Words! As we close out this series for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur we focus on how to be reconciled to God by not being like the prophet Jonah who could hear God but did the opposite or bare minimum of what God asked him to do.
