C.S. Lewis wrote “There is no neutral ground in the universe. Every square inch, every split second is claimed by God and counter claimed by Satan.” Whether or not we choose to acknowledge it, we are participants in a spiritual battle against Satanic forces! In this conflict, we need to learn to counter these demonic attacks by taking up the primary weapon gives us: His written Words! Each step we take towards His Word & learning to live it out in community is a way step towards winning this fight! #punchsatanintheface

As we close out this series for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur we focus on how to be reconciled to God by not being like the prophet Jonah who could hear God but did the opposite or bare minimum of what God asked him to do.

As we begin Yom Kippur and our 25 hour fast from food we focus on what it means to delight in God while denying ourselves of our daily needs.

We are better together. It's God's design for people to not be alone and to be in community with others. Community is the place where loving God and loving people can rise to their full potential in us, together!

At Restoration we are servants and we serve God by serving others. It's one of our core values and it's who we strive to be as individuals and as a community.

We are forgiven. It's one of our core values. When we are able to forgive others we can become people who extend forgiveness to people around us. Sin, mistakes, setbacks. Things that we have done to others and things that have been done to us. We choose to forgive because every setback is a chance to come back.

Our guest speaker is Helene Rosenberg, Rabbi Matt's mom, from Shuvah Yisrael in New York.

Money is an impossible situation for most people. It causes fights. It creates havoc in families. Money is not evil. But, what to do with money, how to spend it, how to save it causes tremendous strife in the life of families. At Restoration, we are generous. As a community we are irrationally generous with our resources. It doesn't mean we don't make good and informed decisions when it comes to money. It means we return to God first believing that he will bless the rest of what he has given us. It is irrational to the world around us but God has been so irrationally generous with us that we want to return that generosity to the Lord.

We believe that everyone belongs in the family of God! At Restoration Jews are Jews and Gentiles are Gentiles and we are all apart of the same family.
