Our spiritual battle is something we must be dressed for. We have been provided the equipment and clothing we need to do battle or to engage the enemy. We must adorn ourselves with the armor God has given us and the first of which is the helmet of salvation. It is an offensive and defensive piece of armor. The Church is the body of Jesus Christ in the world today. The "ekklesia" the called out ones. We are to be salt and light in the world. We, as salt, should bring out the best in people and we, as the light, should shine in such a way that people see God for who He really is. But what happens when we are not the salt and light?

What you value will come to light in how you respond to circumstances, situations, people, success and failure. No matter what you say your response to life's ups and down will reveal what you really value. Do you value what God values? Do you know how much He values mankind? Does it matter to God whether we are broken or not? And does our broken state have anything to do with the depth of His love? These questions are more are dealt with in today's message.
