Isaac went from unclassified to GM faster than any shooter I've met so far. And for those who don't know, Isaac is active duty military, deploys often (and is currently deployed during this episode), but still finds time to train and dry fire overseas.

Maylin and I sit down and talk about her experience taking a concealed carry class in Florida, why finding a good instructor is so important, and how to vet some of the classes that are out there. She shares her experience and how she worked her way up to carrying concealed on her body.  Maylin just recently got into competitive shooting and has shot two very different style matches - an outlaw CQB style match and an annual USPSA mini-major (or so we like to call it). 

She shares her experience of being a brand new competitor, what goals she set for herself, and how supportive her husband has been of her.  Sometimes it's easy for us to lose sight of what it was like to be brand new and how much we can still learn about ourselves with each competition we go to.
