KB and David sit down to talk about the all-new 51Fifty Evolve Rifle that completely eliminates the need for takedown pins making rifle disassembly and building that much easier. KB and David share their story of how they finished the prototype just before Shot Show 2022, cutting it close by less than a month. They knew they had a valuable product and these two entrepreneurs bought their booth before ever having a prototype in their hands. Now that's what we call entrepreneurship.

David also shares his experience in the firearms industry and his new design for rifle scope mounts. Then, the entire 51Fifty rifle team joins in on the podcast and shenanigans ensue!

The EVOLVE line of rifles, pistols, and SBRs is 51Fifty's new line on the time-tested AR platform, just EVOLVED. The AR15 was originally designed back in 1956 and we thought it was time to change things up a little to address what we felt is a weak point. So, we started with the Magwell, flared it out, and shortened it to allow for quicker magazine changes. We then set out to address the pivot pin and takedown pin system.

What we came up with we call the Rapid Action Cam System or R.A.C. for short. This system uses a pivoting cam on a lever similar to a safety selector. It allows for a tighter lock of the upper to the lower receiver. R.A.C. more importantly allows people with dexterity or arthritis issues to more easily service their weapon and allows the adjustment of weight needed to engage/disengage. R.A.C. also allows for quick one-handed changes of the upper receiver to go from a long-barreled setup to a close quarter setup or to change to a different caliber upper.

Corey Scheel has been competing in shooting competitions for some time now and has shot different divisions in USPSA and even dabbled in some 3 gun competitions.

After PCC's started to become popular and Corey began shooting one, he found a problem he knew he could design a solution for. PCC's can have a lot of recoil, making it a challenge to eliminate dot bounce and make accurate follow-up shots quickly. Corey designed the Roller-Delayed Buffer System to reduce the amount of felt recoil and dot bounce shooters experience. His system works in most all PCC's and after trying it myself, I'm hooked!

In the first episode released in 2022, I sit down with Dexter Bradley, a GM USPSA open shooter on the Army Marksmanship Unit Action Shooting Team. Dexter shares his early introduction to firearms and competitive shooting, and how that helped him earn a spot on the AMU team.

Dexter shares about his experience on the team and how he sets goals for himself for the shooting seasons. One of his goals was placing Top 10 in the 2021 USPSA Open Nationals, where he landed 7th place. He then shares his 2022 goals, his training regimen, what his dry fire routine looks like, and how he prepares for major matches.

Officer Jim Kuzak was ambushed in the line of duty and shot 5 times. He was left paralyzed from the waist down, but rather than dwelling on what he could no longer do, he chose to make the most of his second chance at life and inspire many others along the way.

Jim is an adaptive competitive shooter and is testing what's possible for competitors confined to a chair in shooting sports. In this episode, he shares the challenges of shooting in a wheelchair and about the iBot that's about to change everything for him.

Jim shares his perspective on why civilians should carry a gun every day of their lives and stay vigilant. He also talks about the importance of medical training and medical gear.

Thomas Ray is a 16-year-old student angler aspiring to become a professional one day. Thomas goes by @theokayangler on social media, but he is light years ahead of many when it comes to knowing how to wrangle fish.

Thomas is the son of a competitive 3 gunner and shares many of the similarities between competitive shooting and competitive fishing. He talks about different rods, reels, fishing lines, and when you should use one over the other. He talks about the bait he uses the most and the freshwater fish he loves to fight to reel in.

Thomas spends many weekends in fishing tournaments and when he's not competing, he enjoys catching and releasing fish. He is wise beyond his years as he shares the importance of conservation and how we can be better about not polluting our waterways.

I'm personally excited to see what this young man's future holds!
