Retro Blissed

Welcome to Pocket Review, from the guys that brought you Retro Blissed!

Pocket Review is back with a cute spin off of the Castlevania series for the original Gameboy. You play as Dracula's kid as you platform your way through fun levels and shoot fireballs at goofy enemies.

Fan favorite Mario Party 2 for N64 took Nintendo's Mario and crew to space, a pirate ship, the wild west, an unexplored jungle, and even a spooky graveyard as dice are rolled, friendships are ruined, and thumbs are destroyed. In their advanced and weakened age, will Trevor and Johnny have the physical stamina to dance topless? Err, I mean to win at Mario Party.

Tim joins Trevor and Johnny as they recap games covered in 2022 with such awards as best graphics, most disappointing game, and more before ending with their top 5 games covered by Retro Blissed in 2022. This is not your momma's award show. It's the Blisseders award show. Whatever that means...

Altered Beast for the Sega Genesis was a launch game and the original pack in game with the system. Will this game make Trevor and Johnny arise from their graves? Or is a lifetime of fast food and Chinese buffets too much for even Zeus to overcome? Stay tuned for the full review, a new bliss quiz, and a story about farting in the grocery store.

Men in Black: the Series for the Gameboy Color is a simple action game based on the cartoon series. Not the movie you know and love. Now that we have that disappointment out of the way, be warned that the first half of this episode is Trevor, Tim, and Johnny discussing the sad things going on lately in their miserable little lives. Enjoy.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the 1989 Arcade original, released in 1990 on the NES as TMNT 2: the Arcade Game. Trevor and Johnny cover both versions and finally close the book on classic turtles beat ‘em ups. They’ve covered them all now. Don’t worry, much like a 3rd trip to the Chinese buffet bar, they’ll find a way to cover more turtles games than anyone should, until their little turtle bellies explode and there is a turtle funeral that NO ONE ATTENDS. JUST LIKE NO ONE READS THESE BLURBS.

Klonoa for GBA is a 2001 puzzle platformer that takes the basic gameplay of the original PlayStation game, makes it 2-D, and mixes in some light puzzle elements. Will Tim, Trevor, and Johnny be charmed by Klonoa, or will they be having some cat/rabbit burgers for dinner?

Trevor and Johnny FINALLY take to the streets of Springfield to finish Simpsons month with The Simpsons Arcade game. Will it be better than Bart versus the Space Mutants? Can Spider Pig swing from a web? No he can’t. He’s a pig.

Johnny and Trevor are Tim-less today as they review the original Wave Race for Gameboy, 1992 Nintendo. Will they be able to get their fat, miserable bodies into their wetsuits and hop on these jet skis? Or will they just wade in the water waiting for the assured comfort of death via exposure or drowning? Tune in to find out!

Trevor and Johnny review the groundbreaking N64 racing game, Wave Race. Will the unprecedented water physics hold up today, or leave the guys feeling soaking wet with shame? Oh wait, that's just a normal Tuesday.
