  • Fireball by Starpath
Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience, I hit a bit of a podcasting wall right before summer started, and now we have quite a few weeks of visiting with family, which has been great. The schedule for summer will be a bit up in the air, so please continue to bear with me, and I thank you. This episode is about Fireball by Arcadia/Starpath, a Breakout style game for the 2600. Sarah always tells me I sound tired when I record the podcast, and I can never hear it. It is very obvious in this episode however, and I do apologize for that. I really wanted to rerecord it, but that would have taken a few more weeks. I hope that you enjoy it regardless, there's lots of great feedback to listen to in the second half of the show at least. The hardly promoted Summer of Tanks will happen, hopefully it will not become the Autumn of Tanks! The next game in the podcast will be Tanks But No Tanks by Zimag. You can start sending in feedback now if you'd like, I will announce the episode a week before it drops (fingers crossed) so you have enough time to get feedback in. Please send it to [email protected]. Thank you so very much for listening, and enjoy your summer! Hey kids! I hope you all are having a safe and super fun 4th Of July. We're away from the moonbase this week but we all hope you enjoy this blast from the past classic repost.

Hey kids! Thanks for stopping by. We have a super fun show ahead of us this week. We start off with some talk rap tapes and my recent interest in copping some, also sweaters. There is some sweater talk. It's fun.

From there we hit up At The Movies where this week we tackle 2 movies, Baywatch and Wonder Woman.

Then on to the main event where we have a super indepth, super fun look at a toyline from the 80's Remco's Sgt Rock! I start with a personal tale of shame and go from there. It's really fun and I'm sure you will dig it.

  • Geekfest Rants Ep.350: 2001-2010 - Films - Books - Comics

When it comes to the building blocks of modern science fiction, for at least people our age, in their 40's, it all starts with 2001 A Space Odyssey.  Join Carlos at GeekFest Rants as we dip our toe into the ocean that is 2001.  From the film by Stanley Kubrick, to the novel by Arthur C. Clarke, to the comic book adaptation by Jack Kirby, how are they the same and different.  And lest we forget the cinematic sequel 2010 The Year We Make Contact.  Does this Roy Scheider vehicle live up to the monolithic original?  Pun intended.  Does this 50 year old film still hold up?
