  • Summer Podcast "Progress" Report
Here's a little update on what I've been doing instead of working on the Survival Run episode. That episode will be out next Wednesday. And don't forget the contest!  If you'd like a shot at winning Survival Run (provided by Strudders hisself), all you have to do is guess the combined Strudders' Score of Strudders himself and also Mini Strudders. So for example, if Strudders rates it 6 out of 10 and Mini Strudders gives it 5 out of 10, the entrant who comes closest to 11 (over or under, this ain't the Price Is Right) will win the game! In case of a tie, I will use random.org to determine the winner. Please get your entries in to me by July11th, and if you have any feedback you'd like me to read on that show, please try to have it in by then as well. As always, thank you so much for listening! • The Intellivisionaries - Special Edition 5 (Keith Robinson)
In this special episode, we reminisce about Intellivision legend Keith Robinson (Keith died on June 14th, 2017).  Rick, Paul and Cmart are joined by Scott Schreiber of the Retro Gaming Roundup Podcast, and Chris Bidwell of Now You're Playing With Podcast.  Tommy Tallarico talks to Paul about his Keith recollections, and Emily Reichbach Rosenthal (VP of Intellivision Productions) also shares her thoughts on him.  And listener Chris Dreher contributes a fun story about Mr. Robinson.  The Intellivision community has lost one of its greatest assets with Keith's passing, but join us as we celebrate what Keith has done for the Intellivision community. Additional music used in this episode (used with permission): "TRON 1.1" (music performed by Tom Kahelin) from the music CD Intellivision in Hi-Fi.  Based on the original music from the Disney motion picture TRON (by Wendy Carlos / Wonderland Music BMI). "My Intellivision (1982 Mix)"  (Music & Lyrics by Tom Kahelin, vocals by Michael Schwartz) from the music CD Intellivision in Hi-Fi.

  • Bonus Track - Batman
Batman is my favorite super hero of all time, which oddly enough I did not mention in the episode (I'm assuming a podcast episode makes that obvious). I talk a little about my history with Batman in all its permutations, which is a lot. I hope you enjoy this episode, thank you so much for listening! PS - I thought Bill Finger was the artist of the original Batman comics, he was one of the writers. I think Dick Sprang did some of the art for the early comics. • GeekFest Rants Episode 311- 3D TV - Dracula Figures - Alien-Aliens Comics

Today on GeekFest Rants Carlos will prematurely mourn the passing of 3D Television. All signs are pointing towards the end of another technical groundbreaking era.  We'll look at the history of 3D entertainment and some of it's high lights and low lights.
Then we'll nerd over Carlos' Bram Stoker's Dracula figure/model collection.  Three pieces is not much of a collection but boy are they fantastic.
And on our comic book segment we'll go over the amazing Alien, Illustrated Story and the kinda good Aliens, Newt's Tale.  Even mediocre Aliens product is still good for Carlos.
