The topic of today is the 1994 film True Lies starring Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tia Carrere, and Tom Arnold. But first the guys talk about buying and getting fitted for a suit and the awkwardness of getting measured.

Next, the movie at hand is discussed. They go over the trope of bored housewives, dobermans at the evil lair, and Arnold's propensity to bash skulls together. Tom Arnold's weird career trajectory, the filmography of James Cameron, and the outrageous appearance of stunt doubles are next up for debate. As the show wraps up the guys give the movie a grade, not only in the canon of Arnold movies, but action comedies in general.

This week's episode starts out with the a discussion about the death of Taylor Hawkins and the impact he had on the state of rock n' roll in 2022. Then the discussion turns to the period of time when glam rock, post-punk, and new wave collided to bring the world of grunge to the forefront.

The conversation then turns to the topic of the day, Soundgarden. The 1986 band that brought dropped D tuning to the masses. Tony talks about what off-time signatures are and why the band made them popular, how Tony can't name his favorited bassist and the guys play a round of "Guess the Lyrics".

The get into Tony's job of utility locating and how brutal they can be to contractors, how digging sucks, and how getting a security deposit back can be challenging.

Next the guys talk about "The Cable Guy". The 1996 comedy starring Jim Carrey, Matthew Broderick, and cameos from just about everyone in Ben Stiller's orbit. The get into the reception of the movie and how despite being one of the bigger movies of the year, it mostly fell flat with audiences.

They discuss they're love of the film's soundtrack, the famous Medieval Times scene, Ben Stiller's role in the trial of the century, crazy fan theories about the Jim Carrey's role in the trial, the Chris Farley connection to the film, the infamous lisp, and the 20 million dollar paycheck Jim Carrey received for the role.

As the show wraps up, the guys try to distinguish Jeremy Iron's accent and Sean Connery's, the ridiculous ending, and grade the movie in the 5 film franchise.

Tony then gives his insight as a drummer on how Joey Jordison changed metal drumming, how playing with a click-track shapes a bands' tightness, and his thoughts on the son of Max Weinberg drumming for one of the heaviest bands to come out of the 90's. 

At the end of the show they listen some of the popular and least popular songs by the band and Tony shares some behind the scenes action that happens when you're an opening band that gets bumped off the stage in favor of a prima-donna headliner.
