In this episode, Kayiu, Leah, and Alex  experience a combination of dread and excitement, as characters and event begin to converge... but in ways that aren't so great for our heroes and for Bingtown as a whole. Althea's home, but Ronica, Keffria, and Malta aren't too happy about her decision to run away and what she's done since. Brashen discovers Vivacia's fate, but is deep into piracy and cindin, reverting to his old ways. Serilla's on her way to Bingtown, but will she survive the trip there when forced into close proximity with Cosgo? All the while, slavery's roots entrench themselves further into Bingtown. But hey, at least they get their first mention of Selden this book!
