This episode is uniquely for those who are grieving. It's for those who know they are carrying pain but don't have the words or the strength to vocalize it yet. It's for those who know their heart is broken and their mind is confused.
I get it. I'm there too. So in this episode I'm spending time praying for you...for us. I invite you to just receive. Prayer will then lead into some guided time for you to vocalize what you need to Christ. It's okay if you don't have words: often we don't know what we need. Even your silent groanings are enough before the Lord - that's a beautiful gift. He knows what you need and is attuning to you. He is with you. It it His strength that will sustain and guide you.
Scripture: Psalms 13
How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I take counsel in my soul
and have sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
Consider and answer me, O Lord my God;
light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,”
lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.
But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me.

He is God of the generations. His goodness goes beyond are daily experiences. His goodness stretches back beyond our timeline. Christ has the authority to say on the cross "It is finished" because of who He's been, who He is, and who He forever will be. When we position ourselves under the truth that God's goodness isn't dependent upon our experiences we can find security and rest for souls.
Scriptures:
After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), “I thirst.” A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
John 19:29-30 ESV
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who ranks before me, because he was before me.’ I myself did not know him, but for this purpose I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel.”
John 1:29-31 ESV

Scriptures mentioned:
Psalms 46: 1 - 7 TPT
God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge!
You’re a proven help in time of trouble—
more than enough and always available whenever I need you.
So we will never fear
even if every structure of support were to crumble away.
We will not fear even when the earthquakes and shakes,
moving mountains and casting them into the sea.
For the raging roar of stormy winds and crashing waves
cannot erode our faith in you.
Pause in his presence
God has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams
bring joy and delight to his people.
His river flows right through the city of God Most High,
into his holy dwelling places.
God is in the midst of his city,
secure and never shaken.
At daybreak his help will be seen with the appearing of the dawn.
When the nations are in uproar with their tottering kingdoms,
God simply raises his voice
and the earth begins to disintegrate before him.
Here he comes!
The Commander!
The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side.
The God of Jacob fights for us!
Pause in his presence

Ashley Rogers, founder and director of Created Art Ministry, joins Gabrielle Leonard this week to discuss anxiety and her experience with increased panic attacks in 2020. She gives wisdom on how to move past the shame and what it looks like to connect with Jesus amid anxiety practically. The amount of insight provided in this conversation is unreal. You’ll be encouraged!

Scriptures mentioned:
Philippines 4:6-7 NKJV
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Acts 1:21-26 TPT
“So then, we must choose his replacement from among those who have been with us from the very beginning, from John’s baptism until Jesus’ ascension. And, like us, he must be a witness of his resurrection.”
They proposed two candidates: Joseph, who is also called Barsabbas the Just, and Matthias. They all prayed, “Lord Yahweh, you know the heart of every man. Please give us clear revelation to know which of these two men you have chosen to be an apostle and take Judas’ place because he renounced his apostleship to go where he belonged.” They cast lots and determined that Matthias was the Lord’s choice, so he was added to the eleven apostles.

Well, I'd say it's about time! It's been weeks since I've posted a new podcast episode. In this episode I'm sharing the why. I've been wrestling a lot lately. But it's time to get back to sharing on this platform. I invite you to listen to this first episode back. You'll hear my heart and my confession and repentance. It's a raw episode. Not polished. But the goal, if there is one, is like always to spark in you a desire to be, live, and move with God.
Seek His Face & Walk With Him
Scriptures mentioned:
Genesis 3:4-6 TPT
But the snake said to her, “You certainly won’t die. God knows that the moment you eat it, you eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil. When the woman saw that the tree produced delicious fruit, delightful to look upon, and desirable to give one insight, she took its fruit and ate it. She gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he also ate it.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For God made the only one who did not know sin to become sin for us, so that we who did not know righteousness might become the righteousness of God through our union with him.
2 Corinthians 7:9-11 TPT
Now I’m over-joyed—not because I made you sad, but because your grief led you to a deep repentance. You experienced godly sorrow, and as God intended, it brought about gain for you, not loss, so that no harm has been done by us. God designed us to feel remorse over sin in order to produce repentance that leads to victory. This leaves us with no regrets. But the sorrow of the world works death.
Can’t you see the good fruit that has come, as God intended, because of your remorse over sin? Now you are eager to do what is right! Look at the indignation you experienced over what happened and how alarmed you became. What holy longing it awakened, what passion for God, and how ready you were to bring justice to the offender. Your response has proved that you are free of blame in this matter.
2 Timothy 2:25 TPT
Then with meekness you’ll be able to carefully enlighten those who argue with you so they can see God’s gracious gift of repentance and be brought to the truth.

Contrary to popular belief, rest is not just pausing from activity. Biblical rest is an exchange. Jesus said, "I will give you rest." Rest is a gift. It's a symptom of someone who has been with Jesus. In today's show, I share how I recently practiced rest. I end the episode with an activation (guided prayer time) to help you connect with God and experience His rest.
Scriptures mentioned:
Matthew 11:28 NIV
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 ESV
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 TPT
“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis.
Matthew 4:4 TPT
He answered, “The Scriptures say: Bread alone will not satisfy, but true life is found in every word, which constantly goes forth from God’s mouth.”

You can count on God to be faithful to what He has promised. He is trustworthy. In this season, I am eagerly anticipating the fulfillment of His promises to me. I once heard someone say, "Your joy will mirror your hope", I get that now. These last few weeks, I've experienced a more resilient and consistent joy. In this episode, I'll share my source of hope and how I'm anchoring to the one who promised.
Scriptures mentioned:
Isaiah 45:3 NIV
I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
Hebrews 6:19 NLT
This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary.
Isaiah 55:11 NKJV
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

In this episode, you'll hear a recording of a message I gave on March 4, 2020, at ONE's Awake women's gathering. As I prepped for this talk God promised me that each listener would experience a personal and intimate moment with Him. That's what I'm praying still for all who listen to this episode. He desires you. You are His delight and I pray that my story reminds you of that truth and invites you into an experience of it.
Responses To This Message:
"Such an impactful message by Gabrielle today and I loved when she had us ask Jesus what song He was singing over us. We can never get enough of being caught up in His melodies for us"
- An Awake Attendee
"Going to Awake has helped me understand that God’s love has always been there even when our eyes and hearts were not awake to see, feel, and hear Him. Gabrielle's message reminded me that His melody has always been in my heart and that I can trust and allow it to be fully received. I'm ready to receive Him in full and so is my heart. Bring on the melodies of love."

Scriptures Mentioned:
Song of Songs 2:8-10 TPT
Listen! I hear my lover’s voice.
I know it’s him coming to me—
leaping with joy over mountains,
skipping in love over the hills that separate us,
to come to me.
Let me describe him:
he is graceful as a gazelle,
swift as a wild stag.
Now he comes closer,
even to the places where I hide.
He gazes into my soul,
peering through the portal
as he blossoms within my heart.
The one I love calls to me:
Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling.
Come away with me!
I have come as you have asked
to draw you to my heart and lead you out.
For now is the time, my beautiful one.
Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV
“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart”
2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit
Song of Songs 2:14 TPT
"Let me see your radiant face and hear your sweet voice"
Genesis 16:13 NKJV
Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are- the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”
John 17:13 TPT
“But now I am returning to you so Father,
I pray that they will experience
and enter into my joyous delight in you
so that it is fulfilled in them and overflows."
