Throughout Genesis 39 and 40, Joseph goes from serving to ruling the house of his master in Egypt, but is later sent to jail; only to go from serving to ruling his own prison. Joseph, a "type" of Christ, depicts many sides of Jesus in these chapters, including resisting temptation to sin and having full authority over all.
