In Episode 86, Bryant sits down with New Zealand native turned Nashville based producer and songwriter Geoff Duncan (aka Duncan Sparks). Let's just go ahead and say it, Geoff is a legend. From the moment the interview begins you can hear Geoff's creativity come out from his talks of early beginnings as the son of a wooden toy maker and young musician growing up in New Zealand. One of the best characteristics of Geoff is his positive attitude and infectious outlook on the beauty that surrounds us in everyday life. Whether it's encouraging other musicians and producers, or bringing the best out of an artist he's working with, Geoff Duncan is changing the landscape of the music scene, not just in Nashville, but around the world.
It's not very often that you meet someone as talented as Geoff and he's as genuinely interested in what you're doing as you are in what he's doing. Geoff has worked with some incredible artist, bands, and other producers - his latest single with Andrews Moss just reached 2.5 million plays on Spotify and that's just beginning to scratch the surface of what Geoff has been up to the past 5 years of his time in Nashville. He also works with the guys at That Sound to develop new drum sample packs and innovative ways to make creating great music more enjoyable and accessible to the world.
If you're an aspiring musician, producer, or artist take notes on what Geoff has to say about creativity and what it takes to be successful in the creative field of music. ⏪
